From 2002 to 2012, Brazilian exports to the United Kingdom grew by 155.5% in total. In

2012 exports fell by just under 14%. Brazilian imports from the United Kingdom have shown big

increases in recent years, apart from 2009, and in 2012 imports rose by almost 4%. The balance of

trade has shown a surplus for Brazil, in 2012, the surplus was of just over $1 billion.

Brazilian exports to the United Kingdom are diversified, even though raw materials and

semi-­‐manufactured products have always figured as important items. Manufactured products of a

higher aggregated value are beginning to have more weight. Details on the table below:
