The <strong>College</strong> hosts a New Music Concert Series, SpectiCast<br />

performance screenings in HD, visual arts exhibitions and a student<br />

theatre production each season, making the arts more accessible<br />

and affordable to residents of <strong>Delaware</strong> and Chester Counties.<br />

Renovated Auditorium<br />

Upgrades were recently completed to the <strong>College</strong>’s Large Auditorium,<br />

including new lighting, audiovisual and sound equipment. The renovations<br />

offer audiences an enhanced viewing experience, while providing student actors<br />

In January, the <strong>College</strong> unveiled its brand new Learning Commons,<br />

a one-stop location for students to access library, tutoring and<br />

writing services. The Learning Commons also houses supplemental<br />

instruction services and a variety of technology, including more than<br />

100 computers and 50 laptops, Macbooks and iPads.<br />

Discover the Renovated<br />

Exton Center<br />

The <strong>College</strong> recently completed extensive renovations to the<br />

Exton Center, providing a more comfortable and inviting<br />

environment for students. The new Center features an expanded<br />

Learning Center, new faculty offices, an enhanced student lounge<br />

and gathering spaces and updated restrooms. Improvements were<br />

also made to the electrical, lighting and heating, ventilation and air<br />

conditioning systems.<br />

Tobacco-Free<br />

July 1<br />

On July 1, 2013, <strong>Delaware</strong> <strong>County</strong><br />

<strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong> will go<br />

tobacco-free, joining numerous<br />

other colleges in the region and<br />

beyond in an effort to promote<br />

health and wellness. The policy<br />

prohibits the use of any tobacco<br />

product (cigarettes, cigars, pipes,<br />

snuff, chewing tobacco, etc.),<br />

on <strong>College</strong> owned or leased<br />

property. It is intended to<br />

eliminate exposure to secondhand<br />

smoke and provide an environment<br />

supportive of tobacco-free<br />
