Automatic Operating Device<br />
<strong>Movax</strong> piling attachments can be installed on the most of standard<br />
excavators in the market. <strong>Movax</strong> automatic control system links<br />
the excavator and the attachment together. The system controls an<br />
auxiliary hydraulics of the excavator and all functions of <strong>Movax</strong>. It also<br />
monitors the pile driving process with inclination and pressure sensors.<br />
This helps operator’s work and results in better efficiency and accuracy.<br />

Hydraulic Piling Hammer<br />
<strong>Movax</strong> IH-25 is excavator mounted piling hammer for driving load<br />
bearing piles or assist in sheet pile driving in difficult soil conditions.<br />
The double acting hydraulic ram works at high blow rate and produces<br />
high impact energy. The control system provides essential ram energy<br />

SG-50 / SG-60<br />
<strong>Movax</strong> SG Side-Grip vibratory hammers with<br />
variable or fixed eccentric moment are modular<br />
and more flexible than other models. SG’s can<br />
be fitted with purpose built sheet pile clamps<br />
if your focus is on the sheets. Similarly it can<br />
be equipped with clamps for tubular steel piles,<br />
timber piles, H-piles and more.<br />
Interchangeable Side-Grip arms make SG-50 / SG-60<br />
vibros suitable for driving wide range of piles and sheet<br />
piles. Optimised clamps are available for all common<br />
sheet piles, tubular steel piles, H-piles, timber piles and<br />
many other types of piles. Symmetric and wide opening<br />
Side-Grip is ideal for fast and easy pile handling and<br />
driving.<br />
Efficient pile driving and extracting is essential feature<br />
of <strong>Movax</strong> SG. Its overall geometry is designed for<br />
transferring the driving energy to the pile. The clamping<br />
force is adjustable for different kind of piles. Automatic<br />
control system is helping an operator to achieve accurate<br />
pile installation.<br />
Advanced lubrication system keeps SG vibros running<br />
longer. High capacity oil pumps with external oil reservoir<br />
keeps the temperature of bearings lower and results in<br />
longer continuous driving periods.<br />
Simple and strong mechanical solutions are standing<br />
for durability and easy maintenance. <strong>Movax</strong> SG-50 and<br />
SG-60 vibratory pile drivers are built of strong modular<br />
parts that last long and are easy to replace. The same<br />

<strong>Movax</strong> SG-25, SG-30 and SG-40 are medium<br />
size Side-Grip, high frequency vibratory hammers.<br />
Interchangeable clamping system adapts<br />
for sheet piles, tubular steel piles, H-piles and<br />
timber piles.<br />
The Side-Grip clamps can be quickly changed<br />
on the connection surface enabling easy swap<br />
from sheet piles or H-beams to round steel or<br />
timber piles. Biggest diameter of tubular pile is<br />
457 mm. Adjustable gripping force ensures a<br />
firm and safe grip without damaging the pile.<br />
Reliability, safety and user-friendliness are<br />

MLR-15<br />
Leader mounted Side-Grip piler<br />
<strong>Movax</strong> MLR-15 is vibratory pile driver with Side-<br />
Grip clamps for small diameter steel piles, timber<br />
piles or H-beams. MLR-15 is designed for<br />
solar panel foundations and other applications<br />
were high accuracy in positioning and verticality<br />
is important. The same unit is also suitable<br />
for installing raked piles to any required angle.<br />
MLR-15 combines the pile handling capabilities<br />
of Side-Grip piler with leader guided linear push<br />
and pull.<br />
<strong>Movax</strong> MLR-15 can drive light piles with Side-<br />
Grip clamping the pile close to the ground and<br />

<strong>Movax</strong> Side-Grip vibratory hammer is a very productive excavator mounted pile driver<br />
and extractor. The same unit can handle, pitch and drive the sheet piles. It is capable to<br />
accomplish the whole pile driving process without need of manual handling of the piles or assisting<br />
machinery.<br />
The Side-Grip combined with the excavator is an effective solution for pile driving on most sites<br />
from open areas to confined spaces or limited headroom. An advanced Auto C control system<br />
makes the operating accurate and easier. <strong>Movax</strong> stands for high productivity, safety and low<br />

SP – series Side-Grip vibratory hammers are proven<br />
technology for sheet pile installation. The high<br />
frequency vibro is fast, accurate and safe method<br />

different soils. Its Side-Grip is capable of clamping<br />
most common U- and Z-section sheet piles. These<br />
pilers can be alternatively fitted with clamps for<br />
small diameter tubular steel piles up to 325 mm.<br />
SP-70F4 is one of the strongest excavator mounted<br />
vibros and require from 33 to 40 ton excavator.<br />
SP-50F and SP-60F are working on base machines<br />

SIDE-GRIP PILE DRIVERS FOR TUBULAR PILES<br />
Driven tubular piles, casings, wood piles and stone columns are some examples of applications for<br />
<strong>Movax</strong> Tube Driver. The side gripping vibro driver has found its way to various site environments<br />
including rail, marine and general construction.<br />
Tube Driver utilises the side grip clamps to lift and rotate the pile to driving location. Secure grip<br />
keeps the tube in control during driving and AutoC control system enables fast and accurate piling<br />
work.<br />
<strong>Movax</strong> Tube Driver has been also successfully used as assisting machine before finishing with a<br />
drop hammer or a bigger vibro. Superior handling added with a capability to pre-drive the pile<br />
increases productivity.<br />
SP-70F4W<br />

SP-70F4W Side-Grip vibratory pile driver is capable<br />

Adapter plate is needed for connecting the <strong>Movax</strong><br />
equipment to different excavators or other carrier<br />
machines. Adapters are tailored for different pin<br />
connectors and all common quick coupler systems.<br />
TUBULAR PILE CLAMPS FOR<br />
SHEET PILERS (SP, SPH)<br />
Standard tube clamps sizes are available in diameters<br />
60 mm, 90 mm, 115 mm, 140 mm, 170<br />
mm, 190 mm and 220mm. Basic tube clamp size<br />
(also the biggest) is dia 220 mm. Other sizes are<br />
combinations of the basic clamp (220 mm) and a<br />
reducing part 220-190, 220-170, 220-140, 220-<br />
115, 220-90 or 220-60.<br />
POWER PACK<br />
Power Pack provides extra oil flow for the excavator<br />
and thus allows the excavator to be used with<br />
a bigger <strong>Movax</strong> model than without it. For example<br />
smaller than 30 ton excavator can be suitable<br />
for SP-70F4 with Power-pack. <strong>Movax</strong> Power Pack<br />
is fitted onto the excavator and shares hydraulic<br />
oil tank and diesel tank of the base machine.<br />

TRAINING AND INSTALLATION<br />
Operating with <strong>Movax</strong> is challenging itself –not to mention when aiming to achieve the best performance.<br />
As <strong>Movax</strong> is a unique machine, every operator has to be well trained to its use. When installing<br />
<strong>Movax</strong> equipment to base machines, service engineers provide customer with the required operator<br />
training. We also offer operator or maintenance training at <strong>Movax</strong> Oy´s premises in Hämeenlinna,<br />
Finland. These technical and practical training programmes can be tailored to meet contractor’s requirement<br />

AUTOMATIC OPERATING DEVICE<br />
Excavator operator has a challenging job to drive<br />
a pile vertically by keeping the pile on the linear<br />
movement. This requires the control of three<br />
different movements of boom, stick and bucket<br />
cylinder simultaneously. At the same time the angle<br />
of the pile is very difficult to see from the cabin of<br />
the excavator as a side view of the pile cannot be<br />
directly seen.<br />
<strong>Movax</strong> automatic operating device is developed to<br />
solve the problem. The main principle is that the<br />
operator controls one movement and computer<br />
controlled system takes care of the two remaining<br />
movements. This results to a linear movement of<br />
the pile.<br />

<strong>Movax</strong> IH-25d is an excavator mounted piling<br />
hammer for driving sheet piles, tubular steel<br />
piles, H-piles and pre-cast concrete piles. As a<br />
big drop hammer, though still compact in design,<br />
it finalizes pile driving even at difficult ground<br />
conditions. <strong>Movax</strong> IH is easy to hook on as there<br />
are adapters available for all common quick release<br />
coupling models. All controls of <strong>Movax</strong> IH,<br />
such as hitting on/off, hitting energy and tilt left/<br />
right and following of pile are easily managed by<br />
<strong>Movax</strong> Automatic operating system. Auto C display<br />
shows also the angle and distance, which<br />
can be controlled by Auto C or manually. Auto C<br />
displays a realised ram energy after every hit.<br />

<strong>Movax</strong> Soil Drills are excavator mounted<br />
auger drive attachments for cast in-situ piling<br />
and other earth drilling works. A technology<br />
behind the efficiency is a hydraulically<br />
operated telescopic kelly bar with two<br />
extendable sections on TAD-30 and one longer<br />
extension on TAD-30S.<br />
<strong>Movax</strong> TAD works well in confined spaces still<br />
good on reaching over obstacles. Telescopic<br />
design keeps the machine low and allows<br />
working on sites with limited headroom<br />
without compromising on drilling depth.<br />
