Write a story using as many of your<br />

spelling words as possible. Write<br />

your story in your spelling<br />

workbook and circle each spelling<br />

word in red.<br />

Print your spelling words in your<br />

workbook, filling up the whole<br />

sheet by writing the words in<br />

different directions using coloured<br />

pencil crayons.<br />

Write all your words in<br />

cursive handwriting.<br />

Use a dictionary to record<br />

the meaning of each word.<br />

Write each word as if they are stairs,<br />

adding one letter each time. (If you are<br />

using lined paper, begin up against the<br />

left margin line. If you are using graph<br />

paper, begin on the left.)<br />

Write your spelling words in alphabetical<br />

order. Then record your spelling words<br />

in reverse ABC order. Be sure to write<br />

Write dialogue statements for each of<br />

your spelling words. Use correct dialogue<br />

form by including the name of who is<br />

speaking as well as commas, quotation<br />

marks, and end marks of punctuation.<br />

Underline each spelling word.<br />

Example: Melissa asked, “Do you sit<br />

between Ken and Debbie”<br />

Write your spelling words forward and<br />

backward with two colors. Use one color<br />

for the consonants and another for the<br />

vowels.<br />

type. Be sure to underline each spelling<br />

HINT: Put all the spelling words on<br />
