138 C. Training for Union Leads.<br />

The Employer will provide all Leads training in a jointly developed program<br />

to insure their success in the Lead role. Such training shall include, but<br />

not be limited to, courses in the following: Labor Management Partnership,<br />

Interest Based Problem Solving, Union Partnership Representative and<br />

Communication Skills.<br />

139 SECTION 6 – VOLUNTEERS AND SPECIAL PROGRAMS<br />

140 A. Role of Volunteers.<br />

The volunteer’s role in the facilities is to provide services to patients that<br />

may not otherwise be offered.<br />

141 B. Volunteer Programs Not Used to Displace Employees.<br />

The Employer agrees that programs such as volunteer programs and<br />

summer youth programs shall not be utilized to displace bargaining unit<br />

Employees or to fill positions previously occupied by bargaining unit<br />

Employees, nor shall they be used to reduce their hours of work.<br />

142 C. Notification to Union of Volunteer Programs.<br />

The Employer shall notify the Union upon commencement of volunteer<br />

programs and summer youth programs of the number of participants, their<br />

classification, work location, hours of work per week, and the duration of<br />

the program.<br />

143 SECTION 7 – JOB DESCRIPTIONS<br />

144 A. Availability of Job Descriptions.<br />

The Employer and the Union shall maintain job descriptions in accordance<br />

with duties necessary in the operation of facilities concerned with the care,<br />

treatment, and recovery of patients. Each Employee at the time of hire will<br />

receive a copy of the job description and at anytime, at the Employee’s<br />

request.<br />

145 B. Creation of New Jobs or Changes in Existing Job Descriptions.<br />

If the Employer intends to create a new job which is within the jurisdiction<br />

of the Union or if the Employer intends to change an existing job<br />

description, it will notify the Union with the intent of reaching <strong>Agreement</strong><br />

on the proposed changes to the job description or the creation of the new<br />

job and accompanying wage rate. Should the parties not reach<br />

<strong>Agreement</strong>, the Employer and the Union shall bargain the issue in good<br />

faith.<br />
