SET YOUR
SALES FOR SUCCESS
When my good friend and sponsor, ERVP Julianne Lagerstrom told
me she was going to sell Arbonne, I thought good luck. I was not at
all interested. In fact, I think I laughed at her. She asked me to come
over to her house one night, so I could listen to NVP Jody Holsinger
present the Arbonne opportunity. I told Julianne I would go as a
favor, but was not interested in buying or selling anything. In fact, I
told my husband, Todd, I would sign my name in blood to promise
him I was not going to buy anything, much less sign up to sell it!
As the saying goes, never say never. After listening to Jody and
hearing Julianne’s excitement, I started looking for the dotted line to
sign my name. I was ready to jump in with both feet. I was scared,
but I took a leap of faith. I am the type of person who would not be
able to live with regret, which is what I would have experienced if I
turned down this amazing opportunity with Arbonne. I was not feeling
good about the possibility of receiving postcards from Julianne’s
exotic vacations in the coming years, while I sat at home and
thought, “What if I had given Arbonne a shot back in 2005”
I have been fortunate enough to have a career in sales where I work
from home and report to a great boss, but at the end of the day, I
still have to answer to somebody else. I wanted more freedom; I
could imagine that. What I did not imagine was how much I would
enjoy building a team and helping others reach their goals. Julianne
said that night at her house that she could choose the people she
wanted to work with. I did not put much stock in that comment, but
how true it is. I have shared this business with my best friends (some
joined, and some have not, at least not yet!) I have shared it with
former colleagues, family, friends and basically, everyone I know.
This business is all about talking to people. It is also the most positive
work environment I have ever been exposed to. Everyone is so
happy to be working his, or her, Arbonne business.
Arbonne has allowed our family to dream very big; much bigger
than we had ever imagined. When Todd and I discuss future travel
plans, donations and scholarships, or financial goals, we always
continued ...
The Stedry family: Beth, Mitchell, Sam and Todd. Beth’s son, Mitchell. Beth’s son, Sam.
“
success strategy:
Follow the system.
”
say, “Arbonne, baby,” because Arbonne is how we will potentially
be able to afford to do those things. My boys, Mitchell and Sam,
now refer to Arbonne as, “Arbonne, baby!”
I think there are three things that have helped me to succeed in
Arbonne: Support at home, mental toughness for those days that are
not so easy, and following the system that has worked for those who
have gone before me. I have heard it a million times, but think it
bears repeating: This business is not easy, but it is simple.
Once I started this journey, I never looked back. It was not always
easy, but I never gave up. I began in May of 2005 and my team
(myself and my first business builder, EAM Sharon Prothe) promoted
to District in one month. We had an amazing summer and finished
qualification for Area in September. The winter months were
not as kind, but I never gave up. I looked at Julianne in November
and said, “What do I need to do Tell me and I will do it.” Initially,
I was probably not the most coachable business builder in the
Arbonne world. Thanks for your patience, Julianne! My incredible
team went into first step qualification for Region in March of 2006
and finished in April, just one year from when I started. Woo hoo!
To my amazing team: I am so fortunate to have each of you on my
team. I have known some of you for a long time, while others I just
met through Arbonne. I enjoy all the time we spend together “working.”
I cannot wait for you all to get to Region.
To my friend and sponsor, ERVP Julianne Lagerstrom: Thank you so
much for introducing me to the incredible opportunity. I look forward
to the fun Stedry-Lagerstrom family vacations. Your “yellow”
personality is an inspiration to everyone you meet.
To all the Consultants on my team: Thank you for your continued loyalty
to these amazing products.
To my upline Managers: You have paved such an amazing path.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
To my mom, dad and sister, Kate: Thanks for your support my
entire life and especially this past year with Arbonne. I told you it
would work!
To my boys, Mitchell and Sam: I love you both very much. Go
Arbonne, baby!
To my husband, Todd: I wish every Arbonne Consultant could be as
fortunate to have the kind of support you have given me this past
year. You are an incredible husband and father. Mitchell, Sam and
I could not be luckier. I love you always.
