About us
HISTORY AND COMPANY OVERVIEW
Minarik Automation & Control has been providing total
solutions for the automation and control industry for over
55 years. Our nationwide stocking locations, MAPS Centers
and regional warehouses provide customers with a wide
range of quality product lines and value-added services. Our
extensive breadth of technologies along with our technical
support and customer service staffs enable us to provide
customers with numerous solutions that can be “bundled”
together, custom designed for your application or simply
sold separately. Minarik, one source for your automation and
control needs.
Minarik was established in 1952 in Los Angeles, California
as a motor distributor and repair station by Bill Minarik. In
1954, the corporation began manufacturing speed controls
to be able to vary the speed of DC motors. As the need
arose, Minarik added associated product lines creating a
Distributor Division with the intent of having complimentary
product lines to solve a wide variety of automation and
control applications.
To better service our growing customer base, Minarik opened
stocking distributor locations from 1980 through 1996.

national network of trained application and
sales engineers not only position us to assist

our Minarik Applied Products and Systems
(MAPS) Centers are there to help. In the
past, our MAPS Centers have built specialty
cables, panels, structured frames, specialty
motor assemblies, complex actuation systems
and rotary and linear stages. We do
not manufacture standard products, we
produce specialty products to help our customers
meet their needs.

to expand over the last several years.
Not only have we grown in terms of geographic
coverage, we have also grown in our
capability to serve you, our customers. We
look forward to earning the opportunity to

Minarik acquired six
distributors, bringing
the total number of
locations to 16 with
over 300 employees
nationwide.
Each branch has its
own stock, sales and
technical support
staff. Most of our support staff are degreed mechanical and
electrical engineers or have an associates degree from a
technical school. Our training school, Minarik University is
an extensive program that covers all aspects of automation
and control so our employees are up to date with the latest
technology. The training school offers a variety of formats
such as hands on classes, web conferencing, online training
modules and testing, and video tutorials.
By providing value, quality products, knowledgeable support
and total solutions, Minarik is striving to be “the best
value-added motion control distributor” in the industry.
