Apprenticeship
(Offered in French only)
Level I and II
Early Childhood Educator (ECE)
Offered online (on the Internet), this program trains
educators who work with children from 0 to 12 years of age.
They plan, organize and lead a variety of activities that
are adapted to the children’s needs and that contribute
to the cognitive, physical, language, social and emotional
development of children. Early childhood educators observe
children in order to detect developmental delays, learning
disabilities or emotional disorders. They maintain regular
contacts with parents and coworkers in order to discuss
children’s progress or difficulties.
Apprenticeship programs are intended for individuals who
wish to increase their professional qualifications profile
while being sponsored by an employer or that can find a
sponsoring employer.
Most of the training, i.e. 80% to 90%, is done in the
workplace, under the supervision of qualified professionals,
where the apprentice is able to develop the skills related to
the chosen trade. Theoretical training is usually delivered
by a community college in a classroom or through distance
education.
Teacher’s Assistant (Level I and II)
Available online (on the Internet), this program trains
individuals to work with children and adolescents within
the school system. Teachers’ Assistants work under the
direction of teachers to facilitate students’ learning at the
primary or secondary level. As members of a multidisciplinary
team, they take part in the development of objectives and
implementation of instructions and activities prepared by a
member of the teaching staff.
Hotel e-Marketing
EDA 1509
An extensive 2-day seminar covering
key aspects of electronic marketing for
the hospitality industry. Also included in
this program are topics that refer to offline
marketing strategies and how they relate
to the online world. This program will
address 3 key questions that all hospitality
executives and owners struggle with:
1. What to do 2. Why do it
3. How to do it
As e-marketing becomes critical to the
success of any hotel, it naturally follows
that the overall revenues will depend on
your knowledge of how this works. Learn
how room-nights are generated on the
Internet, how people make choices and
how your property can significantly
attract revenues from new channels
as well as from channels that may be
currently un-optimized. See untapped
opportunities using analytics – both
from your website as well as from the
Property Management System. «…don’t
leave money on the table, maximize
your revenue…»
Hotels, corporate housing and B&Bs
all stand to benefit from the topics
covered in this program. This heavy
duty two-day seminar will allow you
to put your skills to the test at your
property and see the results in real
time. It’s extremely gratifying to be able
to see the impact of this program.
Compatibility Issues in the Workplace, Through Handwriting Analysis
EDA 1506
Just as body language
and personal gestures are
expressions of our personality,
so is our handwriting. Whether
we are writing or printing or
scribbling or doodling, it is the
brain expressing itself by hand
through hundreds of different
symbols and strokes. That
trail of ink that we leave as we
move the pen across the page
tells our story.
In this seminar, you will discover:
• Why do I get along well with
one colleague and become
irritated with another
• Am I sending out positive
or negative signals
• Why do some people act
the way they do
• No one listens to me!
• Are they lazy, or is it just me
• What does my signature say
about me
Self-awareness begins by
knowing who we are. By
identifying our own personal
strengths and weaknesses
through our handwriting, we
gain a greater awareness of
self. Handwriting analysis
cuts through the illusions and
provides us with an accurate
assessment of who we are,
not who we think we are or
who we pretend to be.
“…… that trail of ink that you
leave as your pen travels across
the page really does tell your
story ………”
