ENGINE<br />

The standard of engineering throughout the vessel is of the high standard you expect from<br />

a <strong>Swan</strong>. This solid foundation has been built on with a major engineering overhaul in 2000<br />

by Southampton Yacht Services upgrading much of the essential systems to latest<br />

technology and best practice.<br />

Main Engine<br />

Volvo TAMD 1005 engine hours at October 2007.<br />

PTO to drive: Fridge compressor, Bilge Pump, 175 A alternator<br />

• Volvo Penta marine diesel HYS refit 2006<br />

• Steel shaft and 2006 Varifold 4 x blade (no vibration now and circa ½ knot<br />

additional speed)<br />

• Engine room is acoustically sound proofed<br />

• Fuel capacity is 2500 litres in six<br />

• Engine controls at helm with alarms at main switchboard<br />

• Standard stuffing box sten gland with rubber hose and flexible shaft coupling<br />

• Engine room fans<br />
