Responsible to the Director of Centre for International Affairs and Cooperation on matters related to the collaboration and venturing as follows: a. Establishing international collaboration programs with foreign institution (a minimum of one collaboration per year) leading to the signing of MoU or MoA, within the period of his/her appointment as a Visiting Associate Professor. b. Assist in student mobility or student exchange programs Visiting Senior Lecturer Responsible to the Assistant Vice Chancellor on all matters related to academic and research as follows: a. Teaching a minimum of two (2) courses per semester at postgraduate level and/or undergraduate level. b. Need to give or be involved in one (1) public lecture/talk in UUM or outside of UUM per semester. The lecturer/talks must be able to generate income for UUM. c. Need to conduct and publish one (1) journal or publish a book/monograph or an article in UUM Journal. All publication should be published by UUM Press. d. Be a mentor for at least one (1) doctorate candidate. e. Conduct Case Studies. 6. Annual Leave 25 days leave if the duration of appointment is (1) year or on a proportionate basis, base on the number of months with the University. 50 days leave if the duration of appointment is two (2) years. 7. Medical Benefits Only the incumbent is eligible for medical benefits while carrying out official duty in University Utara Malaysia. 8. Termination of Contract Universiti Utara Malaysia or the incumbent may at any time terminate the service by giving one month written notice.
9. Appointment Criteria: a. The respective College may select and appoint a candidate from local or foreign organizations or universities, who excels and recognized as experts in academic and research either at national or international levels; The candidate must be Endorsed by the respective College; b. The respective College will prepare working paper of the background, expertise, work planning and the duration of appointment of candidate to be tabled at the University Executive Council meeting; c. Approved by the University Executive Council; d. The Registrar will prepare the Appointment Letter; e. Open to citizens and none citizens; f. No age limit; g. Preference is given to PhD holder.
