Men’s Soccer Coaching Staff 

Dave PAlmer 

Men’s Head Soccer Coach 

Coach Palmer works in the Century College Marketing Department as a Senior Designer. He received 

his Bachelor of Arts Degree (B.A.) in Graphic Design from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. 

David Palmer begins his fifth season as the Men’s Soccer Coach at Century College. Palmer heads the 

Soccer program after an extensive playing career at the Division 1 level. A White Bear Lake native, 

Palmer was a four-year varsity letter winner in soccer for White Bear Lake High School. 

Palmer began his collegiate career at Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis (NCAA D1) 

and concluded his career at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay (NCAA D1). During his time at UW- 

Green Bay, he helped the team reach as high as #4 in the NSCAA Great Lakes Regional Rankings and 

#24 in the NCAA National Rankings. Palmer stayed on as a volunteer goalkeeper coach for the Green 

Bay men’s soccer team after his eligibility was exhausted. 

Palmer’s coaching career began in 2009 as Century’s head men’s soccer coach, where he led the Wood 

Ducks to the NJCAA Region XIII championship game and garnered 3 All-Region Team award winners. In 

2010, he led the Wood Ducks to a third place finish in the NJCAA Region XIII tournament and garnered 

2 All-Region Team award winners. In 2011 and 2012, the Century College Men’s team returned to the 

NJCAA Region XIII championship garnering 6 All-Region players and 1 All-American Nominee. 

Palmer currently resides in St. Paul, MN with his fiance’ Jessica. 

DARREN DRUMSTA 

Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach 

Darren Drumsta begins his first season as Men’s Soccer Assistant Coach. Drumsta is also the Women’s 

Soccer Coach at Century College and is currently in his fifth season. He brings 23 years of playing and 

coaching experience with him. 

A native of Hermantown, Minnesota, Drumsta played collegiate soccer at West Virginia Wesleyan 

College (NCAA II). During his time at West Virginia Wesleyan College, his teams won two WVIAC 

conference championships. 

Drumsta was a youth coach for Gitchi Gummi Soccer Club in Duluth, MN where he served as the club 

girls’ coaching coordinator and is currently a youth coach for Maplebrook Soccer Association. From 

2007–2009, he worked as an assistant men’s coach for The College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN. 

The College of St. Scholastica won two conference championships during that time. 

Drumsta earned his bachelor’s and master’s degree in exercise physiology from The College of St. 

Scholastica in Duluth, MN. He holds his coaching certifications through the National Soccer Coaches 

Association of America (NSCAA). 

Edmond Dinyuy joins the Century College Men’s Soccer coaching staff as a volunteer assistant. 

A former player (2011 & 2012) on the men’s team, Dinyuy has chosen to continue his education at 

Century College, allowing him to volunteer his time to the soccer program.He played as a forward and 

winger in the 2011 and ‘12 teams that made it to the NJCAA Region XIII Championship match two 

consecutive years. 

Dinyuy is currently working towards his degree in Radiologic Technology.

1st Annual Century College Men’s Soccer Alumni Game 

The Alumni Game also served as a preseason warmup for the 

2013 men’s soccer team. With 22 alumni players that attended, 

the current squad had their first chance to play against other 

quality players. The Alumni team put forth a quality effort, but 

the 2013 Century team was victorious with a 4-1 margin. 

This August, the Century College Men’s Soccer Program held it’s 1st Annual 

Alumni Game. This was a chance for the current men’s soccer team and 

the college to pay tribute to the former players of the program. The men’s 

soccer program has grown significantly within the past five seasons and 

much of the success that the program see’s today, has much to do with the 

players of the past. 

Afterwards, both teams gathered for a lunch provided by the 

Alumni Association. Everyone had a chance to sit down, relax 

and meet each other. The event serves as a good way to show 

our Alumni players that they helped build the soccer program 

here at Century to what it is today. Their efforts and participation in years 

past has helped build a foundation for this years team and future team’s to 

come.
