DON’T NEED HIS MONEY MARTINI

1 1/2 oz. vodka

3/4 oz. triple sec

3/4 oz. cranberry juice

1 oz. fresh lime juice

DIRECTIONS

Pour the vodka, triple sec, cranberry juice and lime juice into a

cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes. Shake well, strain into

a cocktail glass and serve cold.

MEET ME IN MALIBU MOJITO

Handful fresh mint leaves

3 whole fresh raspberries

Juice of 1 lime

2 teaspoons sugar

Ice

1 1/2 oz. spiced rum (optional)

Club soda

DIRECTIONS

In a glass, mash the mint, raspberries, lime juice and sugar. Fill

a cocktail shaker with ice; add the rum (if using) and shake for

15 seconds. Pour into martini glass and top with club soda.

PREMIERE PARTY PUNCH

1 quart pink grapefruit juice, chilled

2 cups ginger ale, chilled

3/4 cup pomegranate juice, chilled

3/4 cup peach or pear nectar, chilled

3/4 cup vodka (optional)

Lemon peel strips, for garnish

DIRECTIONS

In a large pitcher, combine all the liquid ingredients. Serve in six

martini glasses and top with a strip of lemon peel.

Pick your favorite cold brew (regular or non-alcoholic),

crack open and enjoy with the girls!

DO-OVER DIP

1 large tomato, diced

4 green onions, sliced thin

*2 lbs. cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined

OR cooked chicken cubes

1 1/2 cups prepared Thai peanut sauce

1/4 cup chopped peanuts

1/4 cup chopped radish

1/4 cup chopped cucumber

Hot sauce to taste

1 box/bag of your favorite crackers, pita or tortilla chips

DIRECTIONS

In medium bowl, toss together tomato, green onions, shrimp

and peanut sauce. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for 8 hours or

overnight. Divide into 6 portions and top with peanuts, radish and

cucumbers. Dash with hot sauce, if using. Place each portion on

your favorite crackers or chips.

*Make sure your shrimp or chicken is fully cooked!

THE STARTER WIFE SKEWERS

1 lb. uncooked chicken, cut into cubes

1 can chunk pineapple, or cubed fresh pineapple

2 tablespoons brown sugar

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 teaspoons sesame oil (or any vegetable oil)

1 box of toothpicks

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 375° F. Combine brown sugar, soy sauce and oil

in a small bowl and set aside. Put one cube of chicken and one

piece of pineapple on each toothpick. Brush soy sauce mixture over

the chicken and pineapple and place on a baking sheet sprayed

with nonstick cooking spray. Bake for 15-17 minutes or until chicken

is fully cooked. Serve warm.

Serves 10-12 people

A-LIST ARTICHOKE DIP

1 can (14 oz.) artichoke hearts, drained and finely chopped

1/2 package (10 oz.) frozen spinach, thawed

1/2 cup reduced fat sour cream

1/4 cup reduced fat mayonnaise

1/4 cup reduced fat cream cheese, softened

1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1/2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce

1/4 teaspoon minced garlic

French bread or your favorite crackers, pita or tortilla chips

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 375° F. Chop artichoke hearts by hand or food

processor. In a small baking dish, mix together artichoke hearts,

spinach, reduced fat sour cream, reduced fat mayonnaise, reduced

fat cream cheese, 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, Worcestershire sauce,

Tabasco sauce and garlic. Cover dish with aluminum foil and bake

until heated through and bubbly, about 25 minutes. Sprinkle with

remaining Parmesan cheese. Serve hot, warm or cool with sliced

French bread, or on your favorite crackers or chips.

SCENE-OR-BE-SEEN SALAD

1 Granny Smith Apple (or your favorite apple)

1 teaspoon lemon juice

1 large bag baby spinach

1 small can mandarin oranges, drained

4 oz. goat cheese, crumbled

1/2 cup walnuts (optional)

DIRECTIONS

Peel and core the apple, cut into thin strips and toss with lemon

juice, set aside. Arrange spinach on a large plate. Sprinkle mandarin

oranges, goat cheese and walnuts over the spinach and top with

the apples. Drizzle with your favorite dressing (French or a sweet

vinaigrette is recommended).

Serves 4 people

MALIBU MUNCHIES

10 slices of proscuitto (or deli ham), thinly sliced

1/2 cantaloupe, rind and seeds removed

1 box of toothpicks

DIRECTIONS

Slice meat into long, thin strips about 1 1/2 inches wide.

Cube cantaloupe into pieces that are approximately 1 inch x 2 inches.

Wrap meat around the middle of each piece of melon

securing with a toothpick.

Serves 8-10 people

1 package (12 oz.) chocolate chips

1 1/4 cup heavy cream

2 teaspoons vanilla

DIPPING OPTIONS (choose one or all!)

Bananas, peeled and sliced into 1/2 inch pieces

Strawberries, stemmed and sliced

Pineapple chunks

Mandarin orange segments

Cantaloupe cubes

Marshmallows

Pretzels

DIRECTIONS

Mix chocolate chips and heavy cream in a small saucepan.

Place over medium heat and stir constantly until the chocolate

has melted and no lumps remain. Stir in vanilla and serve warm.

Dip your favorite treats!

HOLLYWOOD ENDING

1 package frozen ready to bake biscuits

1/2 cup sugar

1 pint strawberries, stemmed and sliced

Whipped cream to top

DIRECTIONS

Sprinkle the top of each biscuit with 2 teaspoons of sugar and

bake according to biscuit directions on package. Toss strawberries

with remaining sugar. Place each biscuit in a separate serving bowl

and evenly divide strawberries on the top of the biscuits. Top each

shortcake with a dollop of whipped cream.

Serves 6 people
