thorough agitation during spraying and after a stoppage.
SHELF LIFE:
When stored appropriately this product should show no significant degradation for
2 years from the date of manufacture. Contact your supplier about the use of any
product that is older than this.
After crop close-up allow fern to develop then apply up to 3 applications at 14-21 day
intervals from early February.
Apply at early and full flowering
Apply at first sign of disease or at early flowering and repeat once or twice at 14-21 day
intervals.
Apply 2-3 weeks after thinning or transplanting and then at 14-21 day intervals for up to 3
sprays.
Apply 1 spray over flowering and 1 close to harvest.
Apply once or twice in the period from veraison to harvest using alternative
non-dicarboximides for the rest of the season
Apply at the 2-3 leaf stage of onions or for late sown crops, when white rot activity commences
and thereafter at 4 weekly intervals if conditions are cool and wet.
Seed Treatment:
(a) Apply 100ml of 1.5% methyl cellulose or wallpaper paste (as sticker) per 1kg of seed and
mix thoroughly until all seeds are wet.
(b) Add the correct rate of Sumisclex 500SC to the seed and mix thoroughly.
(c) Spread the seed and allow to dry.
(d) Sow within 14 days of treatment.
NOTE:
1. Treated seed may germinate poorly in cold, wet soil.
2. Soil persistence of Sumisclex 500SC can be reduced under alkaline soil conditions
Apply in a programme of 2-3 sprays at 10-14 day intervals, beginning when warm wet weather
favours disease. Apply no more than 3 applications of Sumisclex 500SC per crop – use
alternative fungicides from a different chemical group. Tank mix with mancozeb to control late
blight. Add Contact Low Foam surfactant at a rate of 25ml/100 litres water.
Spray at 7-10 day intervals (more frequently following heavy rainfall) from pink to shuck fall.
Alternatively apply 2-3 sprays in the four week period prior to harvest. In the alternative period
use a non-dicarboximide fungicide.
Apply 2 sprays only in a programme with non-dicarboximide products from the start of
flowering. Reserve use for when infection pressure is high particularly in the pre-harvest period.
RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT:
Resistance to this dicarboximide fungicide and related products could develop
from excessive use. To minimize this risk use strictly in accordance with label
instructions.
It is recommended that when used for botrytis control, no more than two
applications of Sumisclex 500SC are made per season and that alternative
non-dicarboximide products are used at other key times.
Do not use this product if resistance monitoring tests show a high level of
tolerant strains present before application is planned.
