Some important information for you... General SAFETY information Observe each ride before participating. Each ride has specific rules for specific safety reasons. Failure to follow these rules is dangerous and may result in serious injuries to yourself or others. Read and obey all ride signs, audio instructions and verbal instructions. If you do not understand the instructions, ask a lifeguard or ride attendant. WARNING: Every guest has different capabilities and limitations and every ride has associated risks. As such, certain individuals are at increased risk for injury from these rides. Only you know your physical condition and limitations. Please carefully evaluate each ride to determine if you, or members of your party, can safely participate. DO NOT RIDE if you could aggravate a pre-existing condition or you believe your health could be at risk for any reason. Morey’s Piers cares about the health and safety of our Guests. All Piers and Waterparks are now smoke-free environments. See the enclosed map for designated smoking areas. WE CARE ABOUT YOUR KIDS... • Please observe the ride before participating. Read all rider requirements to your child and speak with your child about how to ride safely. • Tell your children to: ➤ listen to all instructions. ➤ hold on with both hands. ➤ remain seated until the ride stops completely and they are told to exit. ➤ never run. • NEVER force your child to ride if they are afraid. • Do not reach into ride areas to touch or “Hi-Five” your child once he/she is seated. AMUSEMENT RIDES SAFETY Keep all parts of your body inside the ride at all times. Secure all loose articles, clothing and long hair. Remain seated in an upright position. Hold on until the ride comes to a complete stop and you are instructed to exit. Keep all restraints fastened until the operator instructs you to exit. Shoes are required on most rides. Certain rides have shoe-type restrictions. Restricted shoe types may include flipflops or similar shoes. Food, drink and smoking are not permitted on any ride. Throwing objects, spitting off of any ride or attraction and horseplay is not permitted. NEVER enter a ride area without the operator being present and consenting. While rare, evacuations may be required due to mechanical issues, weather conditions or power interruption. Evacuating may require you to step over and around objects and walk down steep inclines. WATERPARKS SAFETY If you or anyone in your group is unsure of his or her ability to swim, do not swim without a life jacket. Life jackets are available free of charge at both waterparks. Please see any staff member for assistance. No diving or horseplay. On double tube rides, be aware of your riding partner’s position and maintain a safe distance. No glass containers of any type are permitted in the park. Children under 3 years of age must wear an approved swim diaper. The entire premises of our waterparks will, at times, be covered in water. Do not run. Take advantage of our Parent-Friendly Policy designed for parent’s with small children. On select rides, a single adult may ride FREE while accompanying a paying child who does not meet the ride’s height requirement. These rides include the Carousel, Kiddie Train, Mini Tea Cups, Howitzer, Pink Elephants, Convoy, Airplanes and Snake Slide. We reserve the right to inspect all persons and articles which enter any Morey’s Piers property. Morey’s Piers and its Associates are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Most rides do not permit loose articles. Please leave all loose articles with a non-rider. Lockers are available inside both Waterparks for Waterpark Guests. Any guest who may jeopardize their own or another’s safety, will not obey the rules and regulations of a ride or are giving the indication of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs, will be required to leave the premises. Audible music players, laser pointers and pets are not permitted on Morey’s Piers. All guests are urged to wear shoes at all times while on the piers. All riders are subject to height, weight and age restrictions. Approaching severe weather may cause some or all attractions to close temporarily. All rides and attractions will reopen as soon as we determine it is safe to do so. We apologize for any inconvenience. Now, on to the fun stuff!
