Let’s Walk & Talk October - Decem ber 2009 AUTUMN 2012 Thursday, 23 rd August at 6.30pm - Meet at Finglas Civic Centre, Mellowes Road, Finglas, Dublin 11. Enjoy a fascinating walk around one of Dublin's most historic villages with a history stretching back millennia. Discover ancient monuments, buildings and sites as you hear about some momentous events which took place in the area down through the centuries. This tour forms part of the programme for National Heritage Week which runs from 18-26 August. www.heritageweek.ie Saturday, 8 th September at 2pm – Meet at the junction of Rathfarnham Road/Dodder Park Road (beside Bushy Park), Dublin 14. Celebrate 5 years of ‘Let’s Walk & Talk’ with us by taking a walk on the wild side along by the Dodder River as we launch our new Greenway Dodder Walking trail. Surround yourself with the sights and sounds of nature and learn a little history too as Pat Liddy and others join us for this special event. This walk will finish in Donnybrook Village. All Let’s Walk & Talk events are FREE and no booking necessary Saturday, 25 th August at 12 noon – Meet at the West entrance to the Irish Museum of Modern Art, South Circular Road, Dublin 8. Take in the grounds of the Royal Hospital including the ancient graveyard, Bully's Acre before enjoying a stroll around the south environs of Kilmainham.
