Thursday Bible Study meets weekly at 11:00 AM in the
Longfellow Room. The current study is on Revival: Faith
as Wesley Lived It by Rev. Adam Hamilton. The lessons
cover Wesley's life, time, and teachings in an effort to
identify the qualities and practices he promoted that
can help us find revival on our own spiritual spiritual
journeys. New participants are always welcome.
Men’s Bible Fellowship: At 7:00 on Friday mornings a
group of men gather for Bible study, conversation and
fellowship (homemade cinnamon rolls included!). All
men are invited to attend this lively discussion.
Kjerringsleppets, a women’s book group, meets the
1st Wednesday of the month from 5:30 - 7:00 PM in
the Longfellow Room. The group is open to women of

Science and Religion Roundtable on Jan. 22 at 7 PM:
We’ll be discussing Evolution and Ethics: Human
Morality in Biological and Religious Perspective by
Philip Clayton and Jeffrey Schloss.
Koinonia Retreat Center
"The Secret Spiritual Lives of Men” On Sunday,
February 1st at 11 AM. Steve Robach, facilitator of the
upcoming men’s retreat, will be at Hennepin Church
for the Adult Forum. He will speak on “The Secret
Spiritual Lives of Men.” After 30 years of leading
retreats and doing faith formation, Steve has
discovered that men are more spiritual than they are
aware and less religious than they think. Everyone is
invited to join this provocative conversation and to
meet Steve in advance of the men’s retreat he will lead
at Koinonia Feb. 27-Mar 1.

A Time Apart: Women’s Retreat
March 6-8 at Koinonia Retreat Center
By March winter can seem long. Join Hennepin women
and their friends at Koinonia for a time apart from the
regular activities of life. There will be time for relaxing,
worship, singing, playing, reading, needlework,
creating, eating and rest. There will also be time to get
to know new people and reconnect with others. To

The Gift Registry will kick off on Sunday, Jan 18th with
stations equipped with volunteers and IPads. We are
asking folks to share some information about their skills
and interests on Hennepin’s ChurchLife database. Get
your picture taken and learn how to sign on. Stations
will be on the Mezzanine (10–11 AM) and on the Social
Hall stage (10:30 – 11:30 AM). Reasons to register: Help
us get to know one another; Connect skills/interests
with our ministries; Improve volunteer coordination;
Identify the congregation’s interest areas; Help our new

Fill in your name and email address, and you will be sent
an email with your login information. Make sure you use
the email address the church has on file.

• Now that you are registered, go back to the Hennepin
Church Life website and login but this time sign in
with your email address and new password.
• You will see a screen with the current church calendar
and a list of your groups and giving history. Click on
“My Complete Profile” which you will find in the upper
left part of the screen, under “I Want to View…”
• Check your profile to make sure your name, address,
phone number, email address, and contact preference
are all correct. If not, edit information by clicking on
the pencil next to the information or add additional
information (like your cell phone number) by clicking
on “Add” for any category.
• While you are on your profile page, why not upload a
current picture of yourself Click on the Edit button
on the top right of the page.
• At the top right corner of the next screen, click on the
button that says personal photo.
• Click on browse, and find a picture on your computer
or one that was emailed to you from our Gift Registry
project. All the changes you have made on your profile
and picture will be updated in the database by staff,
and you should see the results within a few days.

Hyon Kim to Speak
The Science & Theology Network and Hennepin Church
co-sponsor a monthly roundtable. If you’re interested in
how science and religion can be partners this book club
may be for you. Our Thursday evening gatherings are
marked with great questions, lively discussions,
occasional debates, and frequent laughter. Newcomers
