Murray House is a nostalgic reminder of the

colonial-style architecture that dominated Hong Kong

150 years ago. Built in the Central district in 1846,

it was carefully dismantled in 1982 to make way for

the Bank of China Tower. After remaining in storage

for many years, the carefully numbered blocks of

stone that made up this graceful old building were

painstakingly reassembled in Stanley to create a

charming reminder of old Hong Kong. The building

now holds a maritime museum as well as shops

and restaurants, making it an ideal location for your

groups' treasure hunt or themed parties.

Western Market

The Western Market was completed in 1906. The

walls of the market are made of red brick on a

granite base. A large, imposing granite arch greets

people at its main entrance and the four corner

towers are highlighted in "bandaged" brickwork. In

1991, the market was stylishly refurbished and now

features a variety of retail outlets. Also inside, you can

find a traditional '70s-style dining venue called Grand

Stage. This is another ideal venue for theme dining

and ballroom dancing for your group's functions.
