Feb to July Flix in the Stix public notice for 2012 

They have no Public screenings planned for this year, however 

you can become a member for the cost of $30 for 6 films, and 

members are issued with a numbered card that must be 

presented for entry to the films. Flix in the Stix will screen a 

film on the first weekend of each month, starting in Feb 4 th

on either Sat night or Sunday afternoon. When you enrol for 

your membership card further details of how the society 

works will be given and what the first couple of films will be. 

Coolah Pandora Gallery Exhibition 

Bombing of Darwin. 

The 19 th February 2012 will be the 70 th anniversary of the 

Bombing of Darwin. 

The exhibition will contain photos from personal collection of 

servicemen and memorabilia from the time.

A spring racing carnival for the whole family with Fashions in 

the Field, TAB operating, champagne marquees, punters clubs, 

ringside bookmakers, food stalls and bars operating and 

children’s entertainment.

Coolah 20th Annual Veteran’s Touch Footy Carnival 

A great weekend of touch footy competitions and town 

entertainment, attracting teams from across NSW. To enter, 

players must be over 30 years of age.

Solar Eclipse Tours – to be advised. 

Solar eclipse will only be able to be viewed from Qld on Nov 

14 th , many international astronomers are coming to Siding 

Spring just prior to or just after for tours. May include 

general public – still negotiating.

Warrumbungle National Park Crooked Mountain Concert 

Entertainers for 2012 TBC. Relax and watch the colours 

change on the peaks and spires as the sun sets in the 

Warrumbungle National Park and the music begins. 

A great family night out with kid’s entertainment. Bring your 

own seating, a sweater and aerogard. 

Stock up on yummy bits from local and regional wine and food 

stalls, then settle back to enjoy an evening of wonderful 

Australian entertainment in the best outdoor music centre. 

Buses will run from Coonabarabran for a $6 return ticket.

Take a bus ride around town to see the beautiful and 

colourful Christmas lights in the residential areas. Judge for 

yourself who has the best Christmas light decorations but 

you need to be on the bus to vote. Snacks and drinks 

available and Santa will be on the bus as well.
