Melin Homes Limited Job Description Painter & Decorator Responsible to: Responsible for: Team Leader - Painting and Decorating Painting & Decorating Trainees Purpose: To assist the Painting and Decorating Supervisor to provide a cost effective, responsive, customer focused and quality contract painting and decorating service. (Residents of properties where painting and decorating is undertaken will often be vulnerable and all painting and decorating staff are required to deliver services in a sensitive, supportive way which recognises individual choice). Main responsibilities: 1. To maximise the involvement of Association residents and prospective residents in the contract painting and decorating service and to ensure that customers are consulted on a regular basis. 2. To ensure that residents and prospective residents receive the maximum possible information about the services provided by the Association. 3. To assist the Painting & Decorating Supervisor to ensure that the painting and decorating services are delivered in accordance with the Association’s policies and procedures. 4. To assist the Painting & Decorator Supervisor to ensure that the painting and decorating service complies with relevant legislation and good practice. 5. To assist the Painting & Decorating Supervisor to ensure that the contract painting and decorating service is delivered in accordance with agreed performance targets. 6. To liaise and maintain a good working relationship with all relevant external agencies.

7. To undertake painting and decorating services to tenanted homes, to<br />

Liaison with residents and Scheme Managers<br />

Protection and preparation.<br />

Painting and decorating.<br />

Removing debris and leaving the property clean and tidy.<br />

8. To supervise painting and decorating trainees.<br />

9. To keep the Association provided vehicle secure, clean, tidy and in good<br />

working order.<br />

10. To keep Association storage areas used for painting and decorating<br />

materials secure, safe, clean and tidy.<br />

11. Any other relevant duties as determined by the Chief Executive.<br />
