Using Data on Train Position in the

Operator‘s Safety Non-relevant Applications

For specific tasks outside direct operation control

affecting its safety, information and control systems

in railway transport require information on the

current state of vehicles, often together with its

position or movement.

For this purpose acquiring the current vehicle‘s

position is accomplished in the transport operators‘

relevant information systems applications based on

receiving signals from satellite navigation systems.
