SPRTC offers a special track of clinical care which addresses the unique challenges faced by
n Medicine Bear Native American Youth Program
SPRTC is committed to the development and
implementation of culturally competent programs to
serve all Native American youth. This specialized
programming provides the youth with the opportunity
to incorporate treatment approaches into traditional
recidivism and/or relapse.
n The Haven Program for Exploited Youth
The Haven Program is specifically designed to provide treatment to clients who have been sexually
exploited. The goal of the program is for youth to increase their self-esteem, learn valuable life skills and
to break the trauma bond so they can return to society and be successful. Treatment services are
provided in a safe, staff secure, and highly structured residential environment. Youth admitted to the
Haven Program are integrated in our regular programming and receive the specialized Haven services
through clinical groups and individual sessions.
n PATh 30 Day Assessment Program
The purpose of the Preliminary Assessment and Therapeutic (PATh) Program is to assess clients’ treatment
needs in a structured setting in a 30 day period of time. Clients who are accepted into the PATh Program
will go through the Intake Process similar to our other clients. They will stay with the same therapist
throughout the entire 30 day process; receive more intensive 1:1 therapy, family therapy, Drug and
Alcohol Assessments, Educational Assessments and groups. These clients will also attend school at
SPRTC during this time period. At the end of the 30 day assessment period, a Treatment Recommendation
Report will be sent with our professional opinions for further treatment to the placing agency.
