QUEENS SCOUT AWARD

Goodna for Ryan's
Queen Scout Award ceremony. Ryan
has been a member of Goodna Scout
Group since Joeys, previously
earning his Yellow cord in Cubs and
Australian Scout Medallion in
Scouts. Ryan had completed all of
the required tapes in the four areas
to achieve his award. Some of his
activities were; enhance his water
skiing ability for pursuits, expedition
at Fraser Island, service to YMCA
and Goodna Bear Cub Pack, and
attending Camp Luii to complete
Leadership, Unit Management, and
Ideals as well as many other
activities. Well done Ryan on your
achievement.
COMMITTEE MEETING
The next committee meeting is on
the 8th of November. We’d like to
invite parents to attend, without your
support the group wouldn’t be able
to run.
The committee still needs a Chair
Person, Secretary, Fundraising
Officer and Quarter Master.
Come on parents — we need you!
JACARANDA FESTIVAL MARCH
Goodna Scout Group participated in
the Jacaranda Festival march. Our
float came 3rd place so well done
everyone. Special thanks to COLPAK
Logistics for providing the truck this
year and last year.

JOEY NEWS
THIS MONTH
The Joey Scouts had a great
night on their first night back
after holidays. They made
bubble blowers and then some
of them created a bubble castle.
Over the past month, the Joey
Scouts have been working
towards their Adventure
Challenge badge. They did a
Treasure Hunt and last
weekend the Joey Scouts
participated in the Jacaranda
Festival March. There are some
photos on the website.
On November 1st and 8th the
Joey Scouts are having a Pack
Attack and joining the Cubs
(from 6pm to 8pm—although
they may leave at 7pm if
needed) as Mrs. Wombat is
visiting Japan.

CUB NEWS
THIS MONTH
One of our nights was cancelled
due to the creek flooding, in the
future, the Cubs will be able to
move to the front building
(Venturer Den) should the
creek come flooded.
This month, some of the Cubs
went Abseiling at BP Park. We
also marched at the Jacaranda
Festival.

We have Cameron and Riley
from Joey Scouts, Bradley and
Zachary to Scouts, and
Cameron is visiting.

and two patrols, Penguin and
Dingo. We have linking cubs,
James from Camira, Zachary
and Bradley from Cubs.

The last few weeks we’ve been
planning the Jacaranda Float as
well as construction.
