Wish you could turn back time on your skin You can, quickly and easily.

Fractional resurfacing is one of our surface-repair treatments designed to reduce

the visible signs of aging, improve skin texture and tone, soften fine lines and

wrinkles, and diminish brown spots.

WHAT IS FRACTIONAL RESURFACING

Fractional Resurfacing improves skin texture

and tone, softens fine lines and wrinkles, and

diminishes brown spots, leaving you with softer,

smoother, younger looking skin.

HOW DOES IT WORK

The laser pulses create tiny ablative zones,

removing the epidermis and upper dermis.

The treatment then triggers the body’s natural

healing process, stimulating the growth of new,

healthy skin tissue. The procedure treats small

zones of the skin, leaving surrounding tissue

untouched and intact. These large unaffected

areas act as a reservoir for more effective and

rapid tissue healing and collagen production.

DOES IT HURT

It’s far more comfortable than conventional

laser skin resurfacing. Most patients experience

mild discomfort during the procedure. A

topical anesthetic can be applied if necessary.

HOW DO I PREP FOR THE PROCEDURE

2 WEEKS PRIOR

Avoid direct sunlight and/or tanning booths.

5 DAYS PRIOR

Discontinue pre-treatment of topical

hydroquinone and tretinoin and/or glycolic acid

(helps reduce risk of post-laser pigmentation).

3 DAYS PRIOR

Discontinue Retin-A, Renova, glycolic acids,

vitamin C or any skin irritants.

A FEW DAYS PRIOR

Purchase Aquaphor ointment (over the counter)

to promote healing.

24 HOURS PRIOR

If susceptible to cold sores, take prescription

oral antiviral medication; continue

until healed.

DAY OF TREATMENT

Drink 8-10 cups of water.

30 MINUTES PRIOR

Take extra-strength Tylenol to

increase comfort.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AFTER TREATMENT

The damaged top layer of your skin is being

replaced by a new layer of healthier cells. For

the next 6 weeks, you may experience dryness,

redness, tightening, itching, burning, sensitive

skin and exfoliation. Wrinkles and acne may

appear worse.

What you have to look forward to after your peel

is diminished fine lines and wrinkles, increased

smoothness, smaller pore size, improved

elasticity, reduction of age spots and/or hyperpigmentation,

normalized oil production, and

a new generation of a balanced and even skin

tone. All in all, beautiful results!
