The Faculty Development Portal offers access to numerous
resources that can help faculty enhance their teaching
and learning activities. It contains journals, articles,
tutorials, teaching materials, in addition to references to
libraries and professional organizations.

Webinars are scheduled periodically and are aimed at
enhancing faculty skills and competencies for helping students

Self Paced Courses:
Laureate Faculty in the 21st Century
Topics: Laureate context and philosophy, student population
in the 21st century, the elements of effective learning and
teaching, and faculty competencies. Duration: 20 hours.
Collaborative Learning
Topics: Characteristics of this educational strategy, identification
of its elements and design of a collaborative learning
activity for your classroom. Duration: 20 hours

in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education
Explore variables that affect successful teaching, and
become a successful online learner in order to complete the

2. Student Centered Learning:
Understanding Your Learners
Explore pedagogy, adult learning, and the characteristics of
the millennial student in order to better understand the
learner and create instruction that promotes success and
retention. Duration: 20 Hours
