held in conjunction with<br />

the Drive 4 The Cure golf<br />

tournament benefiting the<br />

DCH Breast Cancer Fund.<br />

The combined events<br />

raised more than $250,000<br />

for the DCH Foundation.<br />

The second event was an<br />

Adopt-A-School <strong>Tennis</strong><br />

Tournament. Eighty-two<br />

ladies participated in this<br />

one-day event to raise<br />

money for the Tuscaloosa<br />

school system.<br />

participated in the fundraiser. All proceeds were donated to the Susan G.<br />

Komen Foundation. The event raised more than $1,000. The goal for the<br />

second annual event is to exceed $2,000.<br />

USPTA <strong>Professional</strong> Jeff Bingo, director of tennis at Addison Reserve Country<br />

Club in <strong>De</strong>lray Beach, Fla., since 1995, has been promoted to director of<br />

Esplanade operations after a recent $9.2 million renovation of the Esplanade<br />

area. The expansion included remodeling of the Esplanade Bistro, expansion<br />

of the Fitness Center to include a kinesis wall, stretching, and aerobic rooms,<br />

the addition of a world-class spa, a Kidz Zone children’s center, and a tennis<br />

department makeover including the addition of a state-of-the-art practice<br />

hitting court with an automatic ball machine replenishing system. In 2004<br />

- 2005, Bingo was voted District <strong>Professional</strong> of the Year in the Florida<br />

Division. He will be in charge of operations for this new facility in addition to<br />

retaining his position as tennis director under the management of CEO/CFO<br />

of Addison Reserve, Michael McCarthy.<br />
