DAY CAMPS DAY CAMP OVERVIEW

Day camp allows girls a safe environment to learn new games,

make arts and crafts, practice outdoor cooking skills, develop

environmental awareness, and, most of all, have fun with new

friends. Day camp is the perfect starter camp for girls who want

to get comfortable in the outdoors and who are interested in

exploring new activities close to home. Before and after care

is available at all day camps at no additional charge, with the

exception of the community day camps. For the day camps

listed lunch and snack are included each day. For the community

day camps snacks are included but campers should bring a sack

lunch.

Typical Day Camp Schedule

7:30-9:00 a.m. Check-in and before care

9:00 a.m. Opening flag ceremony and morning snack

9:30-11:30 a.m. Girl-planned activities focused on education and weekly

theme (art instruction, cooking lessons, ecology games, etc.)

12:00-1:00 p.m. Lunch and rest time

1:00- 3:30 p.m. Girl-planned activities focused on practicing new skills (water

activities, scavenger hunts, games, etc.)

3:30 p.m. Closing flag ceremony and afternoon snack

4:00-5:30 p.m. Check-out and after care

an animal. Learn about the critters that

Special guests from the Scovill Zoo will

pay us a visit and we will travel out of

camp to Wildlife Prairie Park. Want to

spend the night at camp Join us for an

optional overnight on Thursday for an

additional $10.00 fee.
