A revolutionary truss designed to offer all the advantages
of the Thomas 52cm Supertruss but in 30.5cm square
format. 30.5cm Supertruss provides a substantial increase
in loadbearing capacity over the General Purpose 30.5cm
truss and can span to a maximum of 15 metres between
supports. This truss is ideal for exhibition, conference and
general rigging jobs.
The Supertruss design features end connectors, which are horizontally
orientated, so that the connecting pin is dropped in vertically and truss
elements are unisex (they can be used either way) this also means that a
variety of angles and shapes can be constructed with ease. Supertruss is
considerably stronger size for size when compared to the General Purpose
truss. Supertruss is available as 30.5cm, 52cm and 76cm x 52cm providing
solutions for all rigging applications.
SUPERMEGATRUSS Supermegatruss has been
developed for those applications
which require monumental
loadbearing capability. The truss
is manufactured from 6082T6
specification tube using 7.62cm
diameter main tubes, 4.84cm
cross boom tubes and 4cm box
section diagonals. The end
connection is a scaled up version
of the Supertruss fork ensuring
the easy and strong connection
qualities required.
Manoeuvrability is ensured by the
standard fitment of castor
wheels. This truss has a
maximum span capability of 39
metres clear span without lateral
restraint. If there is lateral
restraint available mid span, then
the maximum span can be up to
48 metres. This truss is an
excellent basis for a 'mothergrid'
or a large roof system.
GROUNDSUPPORT
The Ground Support Tower is
manufactured with the purpose of
providing a lifting medium for the variety
of Thomas trusses ranging from the
smallest general purpose truss - through
to the largest Supertruss. The Tower
system is available as 30.5cm and 38cm.
The Towers provide a method of support
for truss grids in venues where flying by
other methods is impractical. Each Tower
is capable of lifting to maximum heights
of 12m (30.5cm tower) and 15m (38cm
tower) and capable of lifting 2 and 4
tonnes respectively (which must include
the self weight of the grid). The truss rig
is raised and lowered by means of chain
hoists, such as CM lodestar, which work
with a roller beam and double chain fall
to become an integral part of the system.
Towers can be used outside when used
