(ISC) 2 CHAPTER BRANDING & STYLE GUIDELINES
This section provides guidelines on the branding and usage of (ISC) 2 products and logos. For rules and
regulations on the use of (ISC) 2 materials products, refer to the (ISC)²® Regulations Governing Use of
Marks document you received in your application packet.
BRANDING GUIDELINES
Refer to the following guidelines when referring to (ISC) 2 branded products and services in your chapter
communications and marketing materials.
Superscripted “2” and Parentheses
(ISC) 2 is an acronym for the “International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium, Inc.”.
Never use the full name. Only use (ISC)² in all instances. Also, use "(ISC)²" rather than "(ISC)², Inc."
Always ensure the "2" and "®" are superscripted, and use the parentheses EXCEPT in emails where this
formatting may cause emails to get caught in spam filters or with systems that will not accept it.
Registration Marks
(ISC)², CISSP, SSCP, CAP, ISSAP, ISSEP, ISSMP, CAP, CSSLP, and CBK are registered certification, service,
and trademarks of (ISC)². When using referring to these certifications, please include the registered
marks as indicated below:
(ISC) 2 ®
SSCP®
CAP®
CSSLP®
CISSP®
CISSP®-ISSAP®
CISSP®-ISSEP®
CISSP®-ISSMP®
JGISP CM
CBK®
The registration symbols (®, CM ) should be used in the first instance in your communications materials,
such as on each Web page, in print document, emails, titles and section headers. In brochures, use
registration symbols on headings and titles. Always superscript registration marks, except in the subject
lines of emails, as this formatting may cause emails to get caught in spam filters. In most Microsoft
applications, the registration symbol can be achieved by holding the ALT key and typing 0-1-7-4. For
text-only formats, use (R). Registration symbols refer to the credential itself (not credential-holders). If
you are using CISSP, for example, with Joe Smith’s name, you should NOT use the registration symbol.
When referring to Official (ISC) 2 Education materials, use the following titles:
