The following list shows house rulerships for various types of questions, done<br />

in <strong>the</strong> classical style.<br />

First House: Longevity, health (disease is sixth), happiness, moving<br />

vehicles (planes, trains, and automobiles), best period in life, <strong>the</strong> visiting<br />

team in most sporting events.<br />

Second House: Money, financial instruments directly convertible into<br />

cash (bank accounts, CDs, guaranteed bonds), salary, moveable objects<br />

(things you can pick up and carry by yourself), lawyer acting in your<br />

behalf in a lawsuit (i.e., barrister).<br />

Third House: Neighbors, siblings, cousins of <strong>the</strong> same generation in<br />

age, primary education, short trips, religious matters, whe<strong>the</strong>r <strong>the</strong><br />

rumor is true, writing.<br />

Fourth House: Your fa<strong>the</strong>r (usually), property (whe<strong>the</strong>r land or buildings),<br />

hidden or buried treasure, your home, inheritance of land, <strong>the</strong><br />

home team in many sporting events, gardeners or o<strong>the</strong>r workers who<br />

do landscaping or o<strong>the</strong>r outside work.<br />

Fifth House: Entertainment, sex, pleasure, gambling, ambassadors,<br />

bribery, gifts, <strong>the</strong> stock market and o<strong>the</strong>r riskier investments, alcohol<br />

and recreational drugs, children, procreation.<br />

Sixth House: Pets, disease, accidents (e.g., car accidents), employees or<br />

day laborers, small animals (i.e., smaller than a sheep, but also includes<br />

large but domesticated dogs such as St. Bernards), birds, labor unions<br />

(<strong>the</strong> unions <strong>the</strong>mselves, not labor actions).<br />

Seventh House: Marriage and marriage partners, partnerships of all<br />

sorts (business as well as intimate), open enemies, thieves, <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r<br />

party in a buying and selling transaction, a contract labor or subcontractor<br />

situation, <strong>the</strong> default o<strong>the</strong>r person, <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r side in a lawsuit or<br />

negotiation, <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r possibility for <strong>the</strong> home team in a sporting<br />

event, removals (or moving house).<br />

Eighth House: Death, taxes, wills, insurance, your partner’s money,<br />

inheritances o<strong>the</strong>r than of property, lawyer representing <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r side<br />

in a lawsuit.<br />

Ninth House: Travel, long trips, philosophy, religion, prophetic<br />
