Mercury Opposite Uranus: You have trouble coming up with words and ideas that are truly
original, but your mind and thoughts are not as conventional as they may appear. Things that
are strange, eccentric, and novel seem to challenge you. Result: An overly conservative
response.
Mercury Trine, Sextile, or Semi-sextile Uranus: Sharp, nimble mind with ready wit. Quick
to get insights and to see new solutions. Approaching genius when it comes to communication
skills. Natural physical dexterity. Good hands too. The life of the party when it comes to spontaneity.
Mercury Square, Semi-square, or Sesqui-square Uranus: You tend to carry a lot of mental
energy and tension, and this can suddenly erupt when you’re not kept busy. The way you
speak, think, and use your mind can give way to sheer insight and brilliance. At other times
you may have very conventional ideas.
Mercury Conjunct Neptune: You are a great storyteller, and your mind is at home when
working with myths, dreams, and all that is mystical and philosophical. Probably not too technical,
you can enchant others with your soaring imagination and words. You could exaggerate
a bit.
Mercury Opposite Neptune: You can go out of your way to be clear-minded and practical,
taking care to remove every vestige of imagination and dreaminess. This is an attempt to
ignore your more spiritual and mystical side, which seems to spring up and challenge you at
every turn.
Mercury Trine, Sextile, or Semi-sextile Neptune: Great psychological talent. Able to sense
and feel in the more abstract mental areas and to bring far-out ideas down to earth. Always at
the leading edge of social understanding. Great sense of compassion and a real understanding
of others.
Mercury Square, Semi-square, or Sesqui-square Neptune: Your ideas, thoughts, and mentality
may struggle to keep a damper on a tendency towards mysticism and the spirit. Your dreams
and ideals may be difficult for you to express or talk about, but are a source of much energy and
not a little tension.
Mercury Conjunct Pluto: Your intense and probing mind has no trouble getting at the heart
of any question. Woe to anyone who tries to argue with you or hide things from you. A natural
mind for research, detective work, and any undercover operations. Always curious.
Mercury Opposite Pluto: You try hard to be clear-headed and stay away from gossip and a tendency
to probe and analyze. However, your inner psychology and that of others (everything
secret) challenges and fascinates you. This could be a lifelong friendship/confrontation.
