Spiru Haret legacy ...
When it comes to the existence and
destiny of certain personalities, we realize
that they differ in everything they do. There
are two kinds of existence of human beings:
a psychological one that ends in death, and
a significant one that lasts after death - we
refer, in fact, to immortality, which involves a
paradox: immortality, begins after death.
People have always questioned this problem
and, in an attempt to elucidate it, defined it
differently.
For Martin Heidegger - one of the
greatest philosophers of all time - life means
to be, and to live for a purpose which leads
to immortality. Man wants to ensure the
existence of his offspring thus providing an
extension until one of the many becomes
immortal.
This is the case of Spiru Haret to whom
stars have been entirely favourable, both in
terms of his undertakings, as well as his
future options, bestowing him , under
favourable auspices, with a brilliant mind and
great thirst and love for learning, from early
childhood, carrying him to become, as we
have known him for ever as: „ The most
reforming personality of the era, namely of
the beginning of the twentieth century”. We
can compare him to the great spirits of the
Renaissance in Europe, in terms of his
sundry concerns, and especially his deep
humanism. Thus he secured a place in the
pantheon of great personalities of Romanian
and universal culture and science.
We consider, however, the chaining of
more or less persuasive events which
foresee the fact that almost nothing in this
world is accidental.
It is, for instance, another great
Romanian scholar - a philosopher, a modern
5
Socrates of our time - Constantin Noica
(1909-1987), who, in the course of his
intellectual perfection, attended the "Spiru
Haret" University of Bucharest (between
1924-1928) and (during his stay in Berlin
from October 1940 to 1944 as referent in
philosophy at the Romanian-German
Institute) the seminar of professor Martin
Heidegger.
Constantin Noica with his authority
embodying the superlative in Romanian
philosophical thinking, on the individual
believes that there is "a wide range of
individual, so, what it is significant is the
exceptional individual"; this confirms the
entire explanation advanced on Spiru Haret.
From this perspective, Spiru Haret's
tutelary spirit endures nowadays, it is alive,
and he tirelessly guides us into the future, to
other Romanian spiritual dimensions.
In the series of large, innovative
transformations inside the social, cultural
educational Romanian system there are the
„România de Mâine” Foundation and the
University named, by their founder, president
and rector, Professor Ph.D. Bondrea
Aurelian, after the illustrious predecessor.
component in the students’training.
Participation in the scientific students
associations and later elaboration of the
guidance and further majoring. Scientific
societies in the Faculty were founded as
early as January 2009. The idea of such a
Work is carried out within the thematic
sessions where discussions are open and
constructive. Meetings are held monthly from
October to May, the key element being the
annual scientific session held in October-
November, for students and master
12
students, where they bring their papers, the
best of which are published in the annual
volume of these scientific sessions.
The main objective of these scientific
associations is to develop the skills acquired
during laboratories, lectures and seminars
and to acquire further knowledge in
