NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

BYLAW NO. C-699-08

PROPOSED LAND USE BYLAW AMENDMENT

REDISTRICTING

Date: January 12, 2009

Time: 6:00 p.m.

Place: City Council Chambers, located at City Hall, 315 Jespersen Avenue

It is the intention of Council to consider Bylaw No. C-699-08, a Bylaw to amend

the City of Spruce Grove Land Use Bylaw No. C-600-06.

Harvest Ridge Stage 10

The purpose of this bylaw is to redistrict a portion of SE 8-53-27-4 from:

1. U-R – Urban Reserve Holding District to S-P – Semi-Public Institutional;

2. U-R – Urban Reserve Holding District to R-3 – Residential-High Density;

3. R-3 – Residential-High Density to S-P – Semi-Public Institutional;

4. R-1D – Residential-Single Detached (Class D) to R-3 – Residential-High

Density; and

5. R-1D – Residential-Single Detached (Class D) to S-P – Semi-Public

Institutional,

as shown on the map below.


The purpose of the Bylaw is to redistrict the subject land to allow for subdivision

and development of a school site and multi-unit residential site in Harvest Ridge

Stage 10.

REPRESENTATION:

Any person or group of persons acting on behalf of an individual(s) who claims to

be affected by the proposed Bylaw and wishes to make representation to City

Council concerning this Bylaw may do so at the time and place outlined above.

Written representations concerning the Bylaw will be received by the City Clerk

until 12:00 noon on Monday, January 12, 2009. Written representations which

have been received before the designated time will be reviewed by Council at the

Public Hearing before verbal presentations will be recognized.

DOCUMENTATION:

Copies of the proposed Bylaw are available between 8:30 a.m. and noon and

between 1:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday from the Planning and

Development Department, 2nd Floor, City Hall, 315 Jespersen Avenue. Copies

of relevant documents may also be inspected by the public during the above

hours.
