<strong>Analysis</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Cr</strong> (<strong>VI</strong>) <strong>in</strong> <strong>Trivalent</strong> <strong>Chromate</strong> Coat<strong>in</strong>g <strong>Film</strong> <strong>with</strong> <strong>UH5300</strong><br />

INTRODUCTION<br />

The standard <strong>in</strong>stallation <strong>of</strong> <strong>UH5300</strong> spectrophotometer <strong>in</strong>cludes an automatic 6-cell turret. When analyz<strong>in</strong>g many<br />

samples, the <strong>in</strong>creased work efficiency can be expected by us<strong>in</strong>g the “<strong>in</strong>telligent Start” function. <strong>UH5300</strong><br />

spectrophotometer also focuses on the absorbance differences between cells. All cells are measured for the auto-zero<br />

values, which are recorded as the correction values. Therefore, the <strong>in</strong>strument is capable <strong>of</strong> handl<strong>in</strong>g the analysis where<br />

a slight absorbance difference is be<strong>in</strong>g measured. This time, <strong>Cr</strong>(<strong>VI</strong>) <strong>in</strong> water samples was analyzed by us<strong>in</strong>g this function.<br />

As a result <strong>of</strong> the analysis, a calibration curve <strong>with</strong> a high correlation coefficient (R 2 = 0.9999) was obta<strong>in</strong>ed.<br />
