I hope that everyone is having a great summer

and that Eldorado Country Club is playing a

large part in your plans. Look around the club

and see all of our improvements and activities.

The front nine bunkers have been completed,

grand stand seating for the tennis courts has

been done, the new back board for the tennis

has been completed. I have even tested it (and

remembered why I have not given up my day

job to hit the tennis circuit.) The pool is in full swing and is more

popular than I have seen it in the past. Lastly, the new half-way

house/pool snack bar has been updated and is open for business. All

of the above projects were made possible by the Capital

Improvements Program, funded in part by our increase in

membership levels. Chelsea has made great strides in improving our

membership levels. I recently heard a statement from a new

member who said “I have only been a member for several weeks,

but I already feel at home. I can hardly wait to bring some of my

friends to the club.” All the efforts that our members and staff have

been making are starting to show results.

Ron Harper, Eldorado Board President

My wife, Juli, my two girls, Brittani and Brenna and I are so proud to be a

part of the Eldorado Family. I was a member of Oakridge Country Club and

the Golf Club of McKinney for several years before joining Eldorado with

my family. I found that Eldorado fits the needs of what we are looking for

in a country club.

My girls enjoy playing Tennis and using the pool to meet friends. As a

family, we utilize the dining area and enjoy the company of other members

and the nice courteous staff. I have enjoyed playing Golf with a few

groups on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, where I have learned the

value of Team Play. I don’t play cards, but I am reading Randy Truelove’s

book on how to play Texas Hold’em. One thing I really enjoy is playing golf with the second best “lefty” in the

club, Tom Currier. Billy Hyle is teaching me how to sing “my heart is like a wheel” but I will never be able to

sing it like he does. My brother, Herb and his family are also members of Eldorado and we enjoy being able to

get in a game when we come out.

From the time we joined Eldorado, Colleen made us feel extremely welcome and the entire staff has been great.

I am proud to be a part of such a great club and one with a vision to make Eldorado the best club in Texas.

See you at the 19th hole!

Baine Brooks, Eldorado Member since 2005

Membership Committee Update

Why does Eldorado need more Members

I have been asked this question a few times.

The answer is straightforward; we all want our club to

offer the best in golf, tennis, and dining facilities

possible. As a member of the Board of Governors and

Membership Committee I understand that it takes a

healthy membership to be able to afford this quality that

we all expect.

Our Membership Goal is 525 Full Golf Members, which is

well below other courses in the area. For details on our current membership

offerings, and to refer your neighbors to consider membership, contact Chelsea

at cstory@eldoradocc.com or at 972-529-6779 ext. 202.

What Does A Full Membership Roster Mean For Us

• More Money to Spend on the Golf Course and facilities!

o An increased golf course maintenance budget for Paul Hagy allowing

him to keep the course in the current great conditions.

• More Dining and Social Events…with Spectacular Food Offerings!

o Chef Jason has already shown us great changes and tantalizing menus

during the Date Nights, Friday Night Specials, and Dining Events.

He has plenty more up his sleeve and is ready to wow us!

• More Staff and Quality Workers!

o From wait staff to cart staff, the more members we have the more

money Donny has to find and keep quality staff members. We have

some great people providing service to our members, and we want to

keep them and find more like them!

• More Amenities & Services!

o Our new Massage and Wellness Room in the Fitness Center is a prime

example! Take a look at their offerings, and enjoy a massage!

With a full membership we will also be able to continue to enjoy

the complimentary aerobics classes and onsite babysitting services in

the Kid’s Club.

• More FUN!

o The Social Committee is hard at work starting “Clubs within a Club” as

a way for all members to get more involved, more social, and having

more fun at the club! The Mommy & Me Club, Travel Club, and Book

Club can only succeed at clubs with a Full Roster, and will lead to more

events at the club. Get involved today!

What Can I Do

The only way we can succeed and reach our membership goal of 525 is with the

support and referrals from members like you and me! Our club membership is

available by invitation only, meaning that a current member must sponsor all

new members. Why can’t it be you Contact Chelsea in the membership office

for details on how you can help our club succeed…I’ve had fun doing it and you

will too!

Our bunker renovation was completed on the front 9 holes on May 14

coupled with the addition of 2 new bunkers on hole #7. I hope everyone is

enjoying the new sand traps and we look forward to finishing up the back

9 holes in another month or two. Due to the timing of the project and the

funds available, we contracted the work out to Professional Golf Services

and they did a fantastic job of keeping the course open during construction

and also of finishing the front 9 project in just over a week! As with any

construction project, there were a few interruptions of play, however, they

were kept to a minimum and the finished product turned out wonderful. I

am looking forward tto finishing the back 9 and completing the total

project. Here are a few pics during construction.
