A ONCE IN A

Lifet ime

Voyage

There’s something very special about a Grand Voyage: the excitement

and sense of adventure fills the air. When your ship slips anchor you’ll be

at the start of a journey of exploration, taking in some of the most iconic

and exciting destinations on earth, as well as places that have escaped the

regular tourist trail.

Join us and you’ll see why we were voted Cruise Line of the Year by

readers of Cruise International Magazine (2011) and named Best for

Seeing the World by Cruise Critic in 2010 and 2011.

...that you’ll want to repeat

Many cruise lines operate world cruises,

but our smaller ships, friendly crew and

comfortable home-from-home feel make the

whole experience that much more enjoyable,

that much more special.

Our more personally-sized ships, long-serving,

welcoming crews and mix of like-minded

passengers combine to create a special

atmosphere that makes travelling with us

a real pleasure. It’s the result of care and

attention to detail, though it seems effortless.

The wonderful destinations to come are made

so much more special because they are shared

with people who soon become friends, as well

as travelling companions, making it all the

more rewarding. It’s not just seeing the world,

it’s enjoying it with friends.

Special cruises at very special prices

A Grand Voyage is an indulgence without

doubt, but you’ll find it costs less than you’d

think. With some cruise lines your time on

board can cost as much as the cruise itself, with

high charges for almost everything you want to

do. At Fred. Olsen we take a different approach.

The very reasonable prices include comfortable

cabin accommodation, on board leisure

facilities, all dining, special interest lectures

and live entertainment every evening.

Celebrating a birthday, anniversary or

retirement, to revisit favourite destinations,

or just because there’s a whole world waiting

to be explored and there’s no time like the

present – whatever your reason for choosing

to book a Grand Voyage, you’ll enjoy great

value as well as experiences that will create

memories that will last a lifetime.

Almost

everyt hing’s

included

Discover some of the world’s

most fantastic destinations

Set sail in early January 2014 and you’ll be immersed in some of the best places that the world

has to offer. On Black Watch’s South America & Australasia World Voyage, you’ll enjoy calls into

Brazil; Argentina; Valparaiso, Robinson Crusoe Island and Hanga Roa (Easter Island) in Chile;

Tahiti; the Cook Islands; New Zealand; Sydney, Brisbane, Townsville and Cairns in Australia;

Papua New Guinea; Borneo; Brunei; Singapore; India; Oman; Jordan and Egypt.

On Balmoral you’ll visit Egypt, Dubai, India, Sri Lanka, Myanmar (formerly Burma), Hong Kong,

Japan, Hawaii, The USA, Mexico and the Caribbean – and those are just some of the highlights!

The ports read like a magical gazetteer of all the places you’ve always wanted to visit.

Little wonder, perhaps, that for many of our guests, a Fred. Olsen Grand Voyage turns

out to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience they enjoy again and again.

• Comfortable en suite accommodation with

TV, hairdryer, safe and individually controlled

air conditioning

• All meals throughout your cruise – from fivecourse

à la carte dining, to casual buffets and

late night snacks

• Tea & coffee throughout the day and early

evening, including morning coffee with

biscuits, afternoon tea with sandwiches and

cakes, and in-cabin sandwiches and snacks

• All evening entertainment, including

dancing and cabaret shows

• On board leisure facilities including gym,

swimming pools and Jacuzzis

• A choice of daily on board activities

and lectures

• Captains’ Drinks Party and Gala Buffet

• Baggage porterage to your cabin

Life on board

On a long voyage, your choice of cruise line becomes all the more

important: you want to be sure you’ll enjoy your whole trip from beginning

to end. At Fred. Olsen we firmly believe that the relaxing atmosphere of

our vessels provides the perfect setting for the journey of a lifetime.

More country house hotel than flashy Las

Vegas resort, our ships are small enough to

create a warm, friendly atmosphere, yet large

enough to have all the facilities you could want

while on board.

A Fred. Olsen cruise is all about choice: you can

always do as little or as much as you please.

There are swimming pools and Jacuzzis, along

with ample deck space for sun bathing and

a pool bar with everything from cocktails

to refreshing fruit smoothies. There’s a gym

with a mix of aerobic equipment, weights

and classes, such as Pilates and Yoga; a spa

and salon, offering a full range of treatments,

including massage, facials and body

treatments; the well-stocked library; a card

room; varied entertainment every evening –

from the ship’s own show company, a singer,

comedian or musicians – and a choice of

dining in an informal café or a more

formal restaurant.

Whatever you choose to do, we’ll make sure

that your time on board is just as memorable

as the amazing places you’ll see as you journey

across the globe.

Black watch

Originally built as a world cruiser, Black Watch features a large number of balcony cabins

and suites and accommodates 800 passengers in space and comfort.

After a day in port, or enjoying some of the activities available on board, the focus of the

evening is dinner, followed by live entertainment. The Braemar Garden Café is the place for

informal dining, as an alternative to the impressive main restaurant, Glentanar: Great

cuisine’s one of the highlights of our cruises. Every evening there are performances in the

main Neptune Lounge, with a further show in the Lido Lounge, so your time on board is

just as much fun as your time exploring ashore.

www.fredolsencruises.com/our-ships/black-watch

balmoral

Carrying 1,350 passengers, Balmoral is the largest ship in our fleet, although still compact

enough to offer our trademark, intimate style of cruising.

Balmoral guests enjoy comfortable cabins, world-class cuisine and a diverse choice of on

board activities and facilities. Visit the Morning Light Pub for a daytime cappuccino, perhaps

returning for live music after dinner, or enjoy a cocktail in the Observatory Lounge with

the gentle sounds of a pianist in the background while the ocean passes beneath you. The

Neptune and Lido Lounges are the destinations for activities during the day and the main

cabaret shows in the evening.

There is a wide choice of sections of the World Cruise that may be booked individually, should

your prefer not to commit to the full voyage. Embark or disembark at points along the way, with

Fred. Olsen taking care of the flights and transfers – or you can book a cruise-only sector and

make your own arrangements, so you can travel to and from your cruise how and when you want

to: the choice is all yours. The prices quoted below are inclusive of the cruise, transfers and flights;

please call for cruise-only prices.

Taking an exotic cruise sector is the ideal way to be part of the special experience that a Fred.

Olsen Grand Voyage always becomes, without the commitment to the full cruise duration. Pick

the part of the world you’ve always wanted to see and experience it in style...
