Analysis
Population levels are rising in Selwyn District and Waimakariri District and are above pre-earthquake
levels (figure 52). Anecdotal evidence suggests that many families have moved from Christchurch
City to these areas. International migration into the region is outstripping migration out of it (figure 54).
