NOHS PTSA MEMBERSHIP
High school students, parents, teachers and other adults wanting to support our PTSA are invited to join.
Membership is $5.00 and includes enrollment in our PTSA as well as the KY PTA and National PTA.
Seniors MUST be PTSA members to be eligible for the PTSA scholarship.

Break and Teacher Appreciation Week in the spring.

Drug Awareness Committee
______Red Ribbon Week: Incentives and activities that promote drug awareness. Held around the third
week in October.

Academic & Guidance
______Committee Member: Coordinates recognition of honor roll students, college information nights for
parents, recognition awards for freshmen, sophomores and juniors at end of the year.
Project Graduation: A community sponsored event for graduating seniors of all Oldham County high
schools. Will be held on graduation night at one of the three high schools in the spring. An all night party
with many games and prizes. Please help support this community effort.
______Contact person between NOHS and Project Graduation Chairs.
______Committee Member: Willing to help out in one area such as artwork/decorations, working a shift
during the party, set up a few days before or on the day of the event or take down the day after.
Reflections: A National PTA arts recognition program where students may submit entries in categories of
literature, visual arts, photography, music and dance. Entries collected and judged locally in the fall.
Winners sent on to be judged at district, state and national levels.

SBDM Parent Election Committee: Coordinates the election of a parent representative for the
School Based Decision Making council. One parent is elected every spring for a two-year term.
