THE FINE PRINT

CONFIRMATION 

OF VENUE 

Whilst every effort will be made to secure La Medusa Ballroom and Finestra, without 

a guaranteed minimum of 35 accommodation room nights booked and contracted 

for the date of your Wedding, we are unable to confirm the above venues until 3 

months prior to your selected date. 

Confirmation of the above venue will be made 3 (three) months prior to your chosen 

date. You will be notified as soon as possible prior to this time should we need to 

release the venue hold made for your event. 

Should this situation arise the hotel will make every effort to accommodate your 

wedding on another suitable date (the same confirmation period will apply as 

applicable). In the case that another date is not available or suitable all deposit 

payments will be refunded and your contract with the Hotel will be cancelled. 

Minimum food and beverage spend and guest numbers apply. 

Please note that we are not currently holding any space for this event

SECURITY 

Please be aware that recently introduced legislation has resulted in all licensed Hotel 

premises having an obligation to inform all parties of the law and the responsibility to 

provide a safe and secure environment for all parties. As of October 1st 2010 any guests 

who are holding weddings or events with Palazzo Versace (or any other licensed Hotel 

premise) are required to provide Hotel security to be present at any function being held in a 

private function room including exclusive use of a restaurant. This new legislation means 

that you will be Responsible for the additional cost incurred for the security personnel 

required as per the below guidelines. Security will be required from the beginning of the 

function until ½ hour after the function concludes in order to ensure that all guests depart 

the selected venue safely. 

Number of patrons of the premises— 

(a) Not more than 100 patrons—1; 

(b) More than 100 but not more than 200 patrons—2; 

(c) More than 200 but not more than 300 patrons—3; 

(d) More than 300 but not more than 400 patrons—4; 

(e) More than 400 but not more than 500 patrons—5; 

(f) More than 500 patrons—5 Plus at least 1 crowd 

controller for each 250 patrons, Or part of 250, more than 500. 

Hotel Security will be charged at $49.50 per guard / per hour (including GST) from Monday 

to Saturdays and $59.50 per guard / per hour (including GST) on Sundays, Public Holidays 

and after midnight, or part thereof, per licensed crowd controller to your nominated 

account.

QUESTIONS 

If my guest numbers are less than the minimum requirement, can I still select a 

wedding package? 

Yes, however you will be required to meet the minimum spend outlined in your contract. 

Can I tailor my wedding package? 

We are happy for you to enhance or upgrade your package. 

Are children catered for at Palazzo Versace? 

Children are welcome at Palazzo Versace. Aspecial children’s package has been designed 

for children between the ages of 4 and 12 years. Please refer to the menus page. 

Is parking available for my guests? 

Complimentary undercover parking is available for your guests, subject to availability. 

In the event that our parking area is fully occupied, street parking is available on Sea World 

Drive 

Can I supply my own alcohol? 

As Palazzo Versace is a fully licensed venue, no alcohol is permitted to be brought in for your 

wedding. 

Does Palazzo Versace cater for wedding ceremonies? 

Palazzo Versace has limited options available for ceremonies, none of which are included in 

the above wedding packages. 

We ask that you discuss this in further detail with your wedding coordinator who can provide 

details on our ceremony packages. 

Can I be guaranteed an early check in on my wedding day? 

Check in time is at 2.00pm and no early check ins are guaranteed until the day of arrival. 

Should you wish to get ready for your wedding at Palazzo Versace, we suggest staying the 

night prior. 

We have chosen another venue more suited to us. Is the deposit refundable? 

All deposits are non refundable, except under circumstances where the hotel is unable to cater 

for your wedding due 

to the 3 month confirmation policy. We ask that when confirming your wedding, you are both 

comfortable with your decision 

Can I guarantee my wedding without booking 35 rooms? 

Confirmation of La Medusa Ballroom or Finestra can only be guaranteed with the minimum 

accommodation room nights booked and contracted. If this is not an option we can 

tentatively hold the space for you and confirmation will be made three months prior to your 

wedding date.
