With the real name of Harpreet Singh, his
everlasting relationship with cinema began
from the moment he was given the
nickname Bobby, inspired from Raj
Kapoor's cult film with the same title
released in the early 70s. Writing about
movies began post 2000 through the medium
of DVD and World Wide Web. The
exposure to the works of masters all over
the globe opened new creative doors for
him when he got to see many gems which
were actually the original films from
where many Indian masterpieces were
inspired or even copied.
And that’s when he started writing about
all those “Inspired films” and “Must
Watch Movies” in the year 2006. The
favourable responses to those short early
write-ups made way for
his own personal website

of all new Bollywood
films as a critic at
few movies sites and for
some selected publications.
Also Bobby recently published
his first book on
Indian Cinema with the
title “Did You Know: For All Bollywood
Obsessed Movie Buffs”, in which he discovers
many hidden and interesting facts
about Hindi Cinema. Facts that are not
just two-line trivia but studied in depth
along with a few other finer details about
the subject. The book is for all those readers
who eat, drink, sleep, think Hindi Cinema
all the time like an obsession.
