1. Weather atmosphere<br />

The m<strong>on</strong>so<strong>on</strong> trough over the North and the Northeast moved into low pressure cell around<br />

the middle South China Sea. In additi<strong>on</strong>, moderate southwest m<strong>on</strong>so<strong>on</strong> remains over the Andaman<br />

Sea, the South and the Gulf so that c<strong>on</strong>tinuous rain is likely over Thailand and isolated heavy rain is<br />

likely in the North and the Northeast. People should beware of heavy rain. At 4.00 a.m. today,<br />

typho<strong>on</strong> “UTOR” around the Pacific Ocean made landfill over the Philippines. It is expected move<br />

into the middle People who will travel to the Philippines should follow the weather <str<strong>on</strong>g>for</str<strong>on</strong>g>ecast be<str<strong>on</strong>g>for</str<strong>on</strong>g>e<br />

departure.<br />

2. Highest rainfall in each regi<strong>on</strong> From 07.00 <strong>on</strong> 11 th <strong>August</strong> <strong>2013</strong> to 07.00 <strong>on</strong> <strong>12</strong> th <strong>August</strong> <strong>2013</strong> as follows:<br />

North at Mueang Tak 52.3 mm.<br />

Northeast at Pak Ch<strong>on</strong>g Nakh<strong>on</strong> Ratchasima 49.8 mm.<br />

Central at Khl<strong>on</strong>g Toei Bangkok 38.7 mm.<br />

East at Mueang Ray<strong>on</strong>g 15.9 mm.<br />

South (east coast) at Hua Hin Prachuap Khiri Khan 55.8 mm.<br />

South (west coast) at Mueang Ran<strong>on</strong>g 48.7 mm.<br />

3. 3-day Raining Predicti<strong>on</strong><br />

It is predicted that during 13 – 16 <strong>August</strong> <strong>2013</strong>, the whole country may have rain about 10–30 mm.<br />

<str<strong>on</strong>g>for</str<strong>on</strong>g>mati<strong>on</strong> is from The Nati<strong>on</strong>al Centers <str<strong>on</strong>g>for</str<strong>on</strong>g> Envir<strong>on</strong>mental Predicti<strong>on</strong>, starting predicti<strong>on</strong> from 11 th<br />

<strong>August</strong> <strong>2013</strong>.<br />

4. Water c<strong>on</strong>diti<strong>on</strong> in reservoirs<br />

Water c<strong>on</strong>diti<strong>on</strong> in large and medium scale reservoirs: Water volume in reservoir is 39,842<br />

MCM which is 53% (available <str<strong>on</strong>g>water</str<strong>on</strong>g> volume is 16,043 MCM which is 22%). Water volume in reservoir,<br />

comparing to year 20<strong>12</strong> (41,773 MCM which is 56%), is 1,931 MCM less than year 20<strong>12</strong>. Water discharge<br />

into reservoir is 400.35 MCM. Water releasing is <strong>12</strong>4.60 MCM, and more <str<strong>on</strong>g>water</str<strong>on</strong>g> intake capacity is 34,682<br />

MCM.<br />

Water c<strong>on</strong>diti<strong>on</strong> in large scale reservoirs: Water volume in reservoir is 37,504 MCM which is<br />

53% (available <str<strong>on</strong>g>water</str<strong>on</strong>g> volume is 14,005 which is 20%) Water volume in reservoir, comparing to year<br />

20<strong>12</strong> (39,775 MCM which is 57%) is 2,271 MCM less than year 20<strong>12</strong>. Water discharge into reservoir is<br />

349.15 MCM. Water releasing is 82.78 MCM, and more <str<strong>on</strong>g>water</str<strong>on</strong>g> intake capacity is 32,647 MCM.<br />

Bhumibol, Sirikit, Khwae Noi Bamrungdan, and Pa Sak Jolasid Dam, all 4 dams have total<br />

<str<strong>on</strong>g>water</str<strong>on</strong>g> volume of 8,684 MCM which is 35% (available <str<strong>on</strong>g>water</str<strong>on</strong>g> volume is 1,988 MCM of which is 8%). Water<br />

discharge into reservoir is 137.74 MCM. Water releasing is 15.49 MCM, and more <str<strong>on</strong>g>water</str<strong>on</strong>g> intake capacity is<br />

16,0<strong>12</strong> MCM.<br />

8 Large-scale reservoirs that have storage <str<strong>on</strong>g>water</str<strong>on</strong>g> criteria less than or equal to 30% of<br />

retenti<strong>on</strong>s capacity; namely, Mae Ngat Sombo<strong>on</strong> Ch<strong>on</strong>, Mae Kuang Udom Tara, Chulabhorn, Lam Pao,<br />

Lam Takh<strong>on</strong>g, Lam Phra Phloeng, Pa Sak Jolasid, and Pran Buri Reservoirs.<br />

5. Runoff C<strong>on</strong>diti<strong>on</strong> (at 6.00 am.)<br />

Chao Phraya River Stati<strong>on</strong> C.2 discharge volume of 438 m 3 /sec (yesterday: 372 m3./sec) <str<strong>on</strong>g>water</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />

level: +19.39 m.M.S.L. which is 6.81 m. lower than the bank.<br />

Chao Phraya Diversi<strong>on</strong> Dam Stati<strong>on</strong> C.13 discharge volume of 89 m 3 /sec (yesterday: 50 m 3 /sec),<br />

<str<strong>on</strong>g>water</str<strong>on</strong>g> level at upstream +15.68 m.M.S.L. (yesterday: +15.46 m.M.S.L.), <str<strong>on</strong>g>water</str<strong>on</strong>g> level at downstream +5.68<br />

m.M.S.L.(yesterday: +5.50 m.M.S.L.)<br />

Water intake into distributi<strong>on</strong> system in eastern ward field discharge volume of 192 m 3 /sec<br />

(yesterday: 175 m 3 /sec), at Chai Nat - Pa Sak Canal (Manorom Regulator): 135 m 3 /sec, at Chai Nat-<br />

Ayutthaya Canal (Maharat Regulator): 49 m 3 /sec. At other small canals: 8 m 3 /sec. At Raphiphat Canal<br />

(Phra Narai Regulator): 43 m 3 /sec.<br />

Water intake into distributi<strong>on</strong> system in western ward field Discharge of 185 m 3 /sec<br />

(yesterday: 175 m 3 /sec), at Makham Thao Uth<strong>on</strong>g Canal (Makham Thao-Uth<strong>on</strong>g Regulator): 25 m 3 /sec,<br />

at Suphan River (Ph<strong>on</strong>lathep Regulator): 46 m 3 /sec, at Noi River (Borommathat Regulator): 74 m 3 /sec,<br />

at other small canals <str<strong>on</strong>g>water</str<strong>on</strong>g>: 40 m 3 /sec<br />

Bang Sai District Stati<strong>on</strong> C.29 average discharge: 83 m 3 /sec (yesterday: 84m 3 ./sec)<br />

Rama IV Barrage Discharge of 7 m 3 /sec (yesterday: 7 m 3 /sec)<br />

6. Water Quality<br />

Chao Phraya River (Canal mouth of Samlae, Pathum Thani) Both DO and salinity are normal standard.<br />

Chao Phraya River (Pier at N<strong>on</strong>thaburi) DO is lower than standard criteria and salinity is normal standard.<br />

Chao Phraya River (Pier at RID Samsen Bangkok) DO is lower than standard criteria and salinity is normal<br />

standard.<br />

Mae Kl<strong>on</strong>g River (Canal mouth of Damnoen Saduak, Ratchaburi) Both DO and salinity are normal standard<br />

7. Readiness Preparati<strong>on</strong> and Help Offer<br />

1,877 Mobile pumps are prepared by RID in order to help people in and off-seas<strong>on</strong> rice,<br />

field crop and c<strong>on</strong>sumpti<strong>on</strong>. Now, 482 pumps are installed.<br />
