Mobile Jammer MJ-1
Art.-No.: 250001
DESCRIPTION
Our mobile jammer MJ-1 is intended for protection against the activation of radio controlled
improvised explosive devices (RC-IEDs).
This system can prevent activation of RCIEDs and therefore signifi cantly reduce the distance
for bomb activation. The MJ-1 can also be used to jam radio communication systems
to support Special Forces operations.
This jammer allows the usage of very effective band limited exciters and high gain multiband
antennas in higher frequency bandwidths. The RF power management is optimized to
offer a good effi ciency of the system.
The jammer covers the most threatened frequency bands and is equipped with 10 wideband
transmitting subsystems covering crucial frequencies which can be misused for triggering
improvised explosive devices.
It works in bandwidths from 20 MHz up to 2,5 GHz, fully covering 20 MHz to 500 MHz as
well as GSM, DCS, UMTS, WiFi, Bluetooth, WiMax.
All bands are equipped with an own exciter and power amplifi er.
The frequency bands up to 500 MHz, GSM and DCS are completely digital with very short
preset dwell times.
Frequency steps can be preset with 1 Hz precision.
Bands of UMTS and WiFi are equipped with the digital arbitrary waveform generators offering
the possibility of changing the type of the jamming signal (e.g. white noise or sweep).
Mobile Jammer MJ-1
Art.-No.: 250001
SPECIFICATIONS
Further important features are the easy operation, advanced self diagnostics and built-in
test equipment (BITE).
The mobile jammer MJ-1 and its transmitting subsystems can be remotely monitored and
operated using an optical cable connection.
System is offered with omnidirectional wideband or multiband antennas with a gain of at
least - 7 dBi.
The jammer antennas are intended for installation on a vehicle roof and bumpers.
Frequency bands down 500 MHz are equipped with low pass fi lters for improving the electromagnetic
compatibility of the system.
The jammers are embedded in two stand-alone independent racks with different height
(HU). These racks should be installed in the rear compartment of a vehicle.
The system can be controlled using the portable remote control unit (RCU) placed beside
the driver, which allows switching ON/Off particular bands, indicates wrong VSWR, transmitter
fault and excessive heat.
The system produces heat loss during the operation, namely due to the power amplifi ers
working in AB linear class, and is working air-cooled.
The RCU can be customized according to customer requirements.
The system fulfi lls the requirements of a customer within the following conditions:
- Scenario1 – bands to 500 MHz
The insurgent person with triggering radio equipment will be located 100 metres
from the IED; the power of the radio equipment is 2 Watts. The effective protection
rangeof the jammer is at least 40 m.
- Scenario 2 – digital communication infrastructures
Different situation for infrastructural communication systems (GSM, UMTS, DCS):
There are defi ned levels from the closest BTS (for -70 dBm).
The protection range is at least 70 m (according to the situation).
