This event will focus on the get-together of choirs from all parts of the world, on mutual performances at the hot spots of the city and its surroundings as well as exciting choir competitions in ten different categories. Participating choirs will perform at fetching venues, like the city’s churches, the famous Kurhaus Bad Krozingen and the beautiful Kurpark. Outdoor stages will be a recreative place for Friendship Concerts.

47Every year, numerous concerts, trade fairs, conferences and many other events take place in and aroundthe Kurhaus <strong>Bad</strong> <strong>Krozingen</strong>. A very special highlight is the annual Open Air concert series which takesplace in the Kurpark every summer. The series is kicked off by the traditional “Lichterfest” Festival ofLights, which features over 15,000 candles and paper lanterns. This is followed by classical, folk, rock/pop and swing concerts.The Kurhaus <strong>Bad</strong> <strong>Krozingen</strong>, comprising the Grand Hall and Small Hall, offers plenty of space and agood acoustic for concerts, workshops and events of all kinds.Culinary highlightsEnjoy the culture of the German region of <strong>Bad</strong>en! The Kurhaus is a great place to enjoy lunch or dinner,a snack or coffee and cake. Choose from the restaurant, the cosy bistro in the foyer or the generouslysizedcafé terrace in the middle of the Kurpark.Kurpark (Spa gardens)The <strong>Bad</strong> Krozinger Kurpark is particularly idyllic with its colourful flower beds, wild plants, large openspaces with ancient trees and the River Neumagen which flows through the Kurpark. Plant lovers willfind huge botanical diversity in the garden of herbs and scents. Countless beautiful details adorn thisdiverse paradise which is so close to nature.
