NEW YORK
New York ve yılbaşı denince akıllara gelen ilk nokta
Times Square.
NEW YORK
When you think of New York City and New Year celebrations,
the first place that comes to mind is, undoubtedly, Times
Square. Each year, as our own festivities and those in Europe
draw to a close, we gather around the television (along with
a billion viewers worldwide) to marvel at the Times Square
celebrations with its live concerts, confetti rain, light and
fireworks displays, lots of hugging and major excitement.
The climax of the celebrations, which are watched by almost
one million people who begin to fill the square as early as
midday, is when the light filled crystal ball weighing six tons
‘descends from the sky’. But don’t fret if you’re not a fan
of big crowds – every street and avenue in the ‘Big Apple’
exude a holiday spirit that will definitely make a lifelong
impression.
