The Exorcist / Şeytan: Korku sinemasının<br />
başyapıtlarından olan The Exorcist, William<br />
Peter Blatty’ın aynı adlı romanından 1973 yılında<br />
beyazperdeye uyarlandı. Yönetmenliğini William<br />
Friedkin’in yaptığı film, “En İyi Ses” ve “En İyi<br />
Uyarlama Senaryo” Oscar ödüllerinin sahibi oldu.<br />
“En İyi Film” başta olmak üzere 5 dalda Altın Küre<br />
Ödülü kazanan filmin çekim süreci ise ilginç bir<br />
şekilde sancılı geçti. Çekimler sırasında iki kere set<br />
yandı, ışıkçı ve görüntü asistanı öldü, üç figüran kalp<br />
krizi geçirdi ve başrol oyuncusu Regan’ı canlandıran<br />
Linda Blair yataktan düşerek kolunu kırdı.<br />
Ünlü şeytan çıkarma sahneleri ile hafızalarda<br />
yer eden filmin, “çıkarılmış sahnelerinden biri,<br />
Blatty’nin romanında ve senaryoda yer almasına<br />
karşın filmin son halinde asla yer almamış olan<br />
korkunç “Örümcek yürüyüşü” sahnesidir. Filmin<br />
montajı sırasında bu sahne, seyirciye çok ağır<br />
geleceği düşüncesiyle filmden çıkarıldı. Ancak 2001<br />
yılında yeniden kurgulanan filmde bu sahne geri<br />
konuldu.<br />
Jaws: Korku-gerilim sinemasının en iyi<br />
örneklerinden olan Jaws, yazar Peter Benchley’in<br />
aynı adlı çok satan romanından 1975 yılında Steven<br />
Spielberg tarafından sinemaya uyarlandı. Film<br />
yayınlandığı dönemde Steven Spielberg’e gerçek ünü<br />
ve 3 Oscar Ödülü’nü kazandırdı. Bir sahil kasabasını<br />
kana boyayan dev bir köpekbalığını anlatan filmden<br />
sonra tüm köpekbalıklarının adı “Jaws” oldu. Bir<br />
hayli emekle geçen filmin çekimlerinde en gerçeğe<br />
benzeyen dev köpek balığı muhteşem bir teknoloji<br />
ile yaratıldı. John Williams’ın ürpertici müziği ise<br />
unutulmazlar arasındaki yerini hala koruyor.<br />
The Exorcist: “The Exorcist” is one of the<br />
masterpieces of horror movies, and it was adapted to<br />
the silver screen in 1972 from William Peter Blatty’s<br />
novel bearing the same name. Directed by William<br />
Friedkin, the film has won Oscars in Best Sound and<br />
Best Adapted Screenplay categories. The film also<br />
received Golden Globe Awards in five categories,<br />
including Best Film. The filming process for “The<br />
Exorcist” was also interestingly difficult. The set<br />
burned twice during shooting; the electrician and<br />
picture assistant died; three extras suffered heart<br />
attacks and lead actress Linda Blair, who played the<br />
role of Regan, broke her arm falling out of a bed.<br />
The film’s most recognized for its famous exorcism<br />
scenes, with one of the deleted scenes being the “Spider<br />
walk” scene, which appeared in both Blatty’s novel<br />
and the screenplay but never in the last version of the<br />
film. During montage, this scene was taken out with<br />
the worry that it might be too heavy for the audience.<br />
Yet in the 2001 remastered version of the film, this<br />
scene was put back in.<br />
Jaws: One of the best examples of horror-thriller<br />
movies, “Jaws” was adapted to film by Steven Spielberg<br />
in 1975 from author Peter Benchley’s best-selling<br />
novel with the same name. When it was broadcast,<br />
the film brought Steven Spielberg true fame and three<br />
Oscars. After this film that tells the story of a shark<br />
who paints a small coastal town in blood, all sharks<br />
came to be called “Jaws.” The shooting for the film<br />
was especially grueling, with the most realistic giant<br />
shark created through incredible technology. John<br />
Williams’ terrifying music still holds a place among<br />
unforgettable soundtracks.
