Listening. Acting. Inspiring.
Our philosophy can be summed
up in a single phrase:
Maximum customer satisfaction.
Our core performance bond for you is “Dedicated
to your Success” and we want you to measure our
performance according to this claim. In concrete
terms, this means that we offer you made-to-measure
products and services, the most extensive product
range possible and a high degree of flexibility and
reliability.
The principle is a very simple one: we listen to
you and make our customer’s requirements the
benchmark for our range of products and services.
For example, this client orientation formed the main
basis for developing current innovations, such as
DURAGLOSS ® 5000, Reynobond ® XXL, Chameleon
Colours and Wood Design.
Whether you want something supplied quickly or
in a specific colour, or if you are looking for help in
planning or support with on-site assembly, you can
always rely on us.
As versatile as your imagination.
Aluminium composite panels from Reynobond ®
Architecture offer many advantages:
• Almost unlimited diversity of surfaces:
Extensive selection of colours and gloss levels,
non-standard design surfaces and special coatings.
• A broad palette of dimensions:
Reynobond ® can be delivered in fi ve
standardwidths up to 2,000 mm.
Other dimensions can be supplied,
on request.
• Comprehensive service:
Short delivery times, even
for small quantities and advice,
before and during your project.
• Convincing product benefi ts:
Lightweight, high bending
stiffness and fl atness, little
expansion, highly resistant to
weathering and warping, can be used in
a variety of ways and is easy to install.
Other benefi ts can be achieved by combining
Reynobond ® with our coil-coated aluminium
Reynolux ® , such as absolute equality of shade
in both products, since they come from the same
coil-coating line. This allows you to achieve a
standard exterior using two materials, which,
in turn, provides cost benefi ts in terms of
purchasing and maintenance.
Expand your creative
range!
If, up to this point, your creativity has
been stifled by the range of colours and
colour systems available, you finally have
a real alternative. You can now coil-coat
Reynobond ® Architecture with PVDF 70/30
or DURAGLOSS ® 5000.
PVDF 70/30 (polyvinyl-fl uoride)
is currently setting the standard
for high-tech coatings in the
construction sector, especially
due to its excellent durability.
PVDF-based colours have been
tried and tested for many years in
the sector.
However, because this standard
cannot meet all your creative
requirements, we have also developed
our own coating and colour system
exclusively for Reynobond ® composite
panels: DURAGLOSS ® 5000.
All standard colours in the RAL- and
NCS-colour chart can be supplied for
Better than the original.
Reynobond ® Wood Design –
Your design advantage
Reynobond ® Wood Design the first
aluminium composite panel in the world
with a wood surface, which is almost
indistinguishable from real wood.
Thanks to DURAGLOSS ® 5000, you cannot
tell that it is a coil-coated aluminium composite
panel. Not to mention all the benefi ts
Reynobond ® gives you.
Reynobond ® Wood Design’s fl exibility and
formability mean that you can use it to create
curves and 3-D elements, which are diffi cult
to do with real wood or other imitations. Other
advantages are its light weight and the fact
that it is easy to use with all fastening systems.
The surface is scratch-resistant
and will help you make a good
impression for decades to come,
something we support by
providing a 20-year warranty.
Reynobond ® Wood Design is
available in three attractive colours:
Inspired by nature.
Reynobond ® Chameleon Colours –
Your creative advantage
In nature, there are many examples of dazzling
colours that change in an instant. This is due
to the light being broken up in different ways
by the various surface layers. Nature’s fascinating
colourful effects are the result of the
interplay between light, reflection, material
and absorption.
Reynobond ® Chameleon Colours
copy this process. Depending on
where a person is standing, the
effects of the colours change,
producing a variety of nuances
and shades with iridescent effects.
Here, the pigment effects simulate
the various layers of the skin, with
their different glosses, effects and
depth of colour.
Reynobond ® Chameleon Colours comes in the
following shades: Indian Summer, Steel Violet, Arctic
Blue, Autumn Wind, Spring Lake and Silver Gold.
Show the size of your creativity!
Reynobond ® XXL – Your size advantage
Reynobond ® XXL gives you the world’s
first aluminium composite panels that are
1750 mm or 2000 mm wide. This opens
up countless new design possibilities for
architects and metal workers.
Most convincing are the aesthetic aspects:
With a 1750 mm or 2000 mm wide panel, you
simply have fewer visible joints. Secondly, the
installation times as well as the fabrication and
assembly costs per square meter are reduced.
Thirdly, Reynobond ® XXL can be ideally combined
with other 1750 mm or 2000 mm wide façade
materials such as glass, for instance.
The length of the plate depends on the customer’s
requirements and the methods of transport
available. Reynobond ® XXL can be supplied in
all the colours of the Reynobond Architecture
colour chart and other shades can be mixed,
on request.
be protected through a non-porous coating like
cadmium, zinc, aluminium, chrome, or organic paint.
Direct contact between the aluminium Reynobond ®
sheets and heavy metals (i.e. copper, brass, bronze,
iron) can lead to a large risk of corrosion. Before
such materials can be used together, they must be
coated or separated from the Reynobond ® sheets
using electrically insulating pieces (i.e. plastic base
or washers, etc).
Fastening indications riveted system
When used outdoors, there must be at least 2 mm
of working play between the rivet diameter and the
hole diameter in the Reynobond ® composite panel,
in order to compensate for the linear coefficient of
thermal expansion.
When fastening, there must be one fixed point – ideally
in the centre of the panel. The other fastening points
are also expansion points with sufficient hole play.
The fixed central point permits free expansion in
both directions.
It is essential that a step drill be used to ensure perfectly
coaxial drilling of the panel and the support, and that
the bore in the Reynobond ® panel is larger than the hole
in the support. In all cases we recommend that you
follow the supplier’s instructions, and carry out some
advance testing.
The rivet’s swage head or the screw head must be
large enough to cover the bore hole in the panel.
There must be play between the panel and the screw
head or the rivet’s swage head. Painted rivets are
particularly suited for assemblies with visible rivets.
For the working play for cassettes systems, please
refer to the recommendations of certifications.
General recommendations
Storage
We recommend storing Reynobond ® composite
panels in the workshop (or another dry place at a
temperature of 18 to 20°C) at least 24 hours before
fabrication starts. During storage, and between
fabrication stages, the panels should be separated
by means of polystyrene or foamed plastic wedges.
Protective equipment
Individual personal protection must be provided in
accordance with the safety regulations in force in the
workshop. However, we also recommend wearing
safety gloves, goggles and ear protection.
Handling the panels
Handling of Reynobond ® composite panels requires
a certain degree of care. In particular with long panel
lengths, several persons may be needed to support
the sheet at several points.
Protective film
The film protects the panel’s surface during fabrication
and installation. The protective film should only remain
on the panels temporarily and should be removed as
soon as possible after final installation on site. Arrows
are printed on the film to indicate the direction of
coating. With metallic finishes, this must be taken into
account during forming and shaping.
Cleaning the panels
Frequent and regular cleaning is strongly recommended.
The frequency of cleaning and selection
of the appropriate cleaning agent, depends on the
sign’s location and on the degree of contamination.
Washing operations must be carried out progressively
from bottom to top. Hereby, the following rules must
be observed:
1. Manual cleaning or using special equipment
(industrial cleaner, foaming machine, etc.).
Make sure to apply moderate pressure.
2. Use of appropriate cleaning agents: Do not use
high-alkaline and other products that attack the
coating (potash, caustic soda, acid products,
scouring agents with an abrasive effect, solvents).
3. Systematic and thorough rinsing of the surfaces
with clear water to remove the remains of the
cleaning agent. Excess rinsing water is to be
wiped away with a sponge, squeegee or chamois
leather to remove the mineral residues left by the
rinsing water (streaking).
Finishing
Shaping procedures
Reynobond ® can be shaped and machined
using extremely simple techniques and
equipment.
Shearing
Guillotine shears are particularly suitable for sizing
Reynobond ® sheets, provided that certain precautions
are observed.
Roll bending
Pyramid-type roll bending machines are most suitable
for shaping our products. To avoid all risk of cracking,
the minimum inner bending radius must be taken into
account.
Sawing
Circular saws, jig saws, vertical panel saws, and band
saws can all be used for cutting the sheets, provided
the saw blades are suitable for sawing aluminium.
For Reynobond ® , the minimum inner radius on a
bending machine is approx. 15 to 20 times the overall
thickness of the composite panel.
We recommend carrying out tests before production.
Milling
Please remember that the upper “looks” side of the
panel must always be kept intact, and there must
be a minimum thickness of polyethylene at the bottom
of the milled groove (the polyethylene thickness
is 0,3 mm with V-shaped grooves, and 1 mm with
concave grooves).
General recommendations for bending and
folding
In general, it is essential to fold the entire turnback
in a single movement, and to close the fold 10 to 20°
more than the desired angle (to counteract a slight
spring back effect) before shaping the exact fi nal
angle. Depending on the required fold, the following
techniques may be used:
Drilling
Twist drill bits designed for drilling aluminium are
the most suitable.
– Cutting angle: between 100° and 140°
– Helix angle: between 30° and 50°
Folding with a sheet former
The former is U or H-shaped, and is fi tted with
a handle to facilitate the operation. This device is
particularly suitable for folding small sizes.
Cutting-punching
This technology is most effective since corners can
be taken off and fastening grommets inserted in one
single production step. We have developed a stamp
for use with out KS, KU, and KH systems. This tool
is also appropriate for drilling and for grooving (also
possible with a CNC machine).
Folding on a bending bench
The bench consists of a strip fi tted to a base. The
panel is clamped vertically in the strip, and tips over
under its own weight, requiring little effort on the part
of the operator.
This technique is particularly suited for folding turnbacks,
especially for long lengths and narrow folds.
