this past September.
Fractaling, a concept New Hope
has adopted to grow leaders and
the ministry of the church,
has proven successful
among the leadership
teams over the past three
to four years it has been
in place. A process
naturally found in many
living creatures and
plants, fractaling is
defined as a pattern that
infinitely repeats itself
throughout an organism.

New Hope has taken this concept and applied it to organizational leadership
and team-building to create what they call a fractal leadership pattern.
The strengths of this concept are that it lends itself easily to growth and
it allows people to serve in ways that honor their gifts, dreams and passions,
rather than just filling empty slots for the church.

passion to start a Youth Ministry
program.
Step 1 Draw a circle representing
everything the ministry will include —
known and unknown.
Step 2 Create a mission statement for the
given ministry. It is important that the statement
matches the overarching mission statement of the church.
Step 3 Draw cross hairs inside the circle to create four quadrants
and title each quadrant. Each quadrant should represent the cornerstones
of that ministry.
Step 4 List the passions and gifts that are needed to oversee each quadrant.
Step 5 Suggest a person for each quadrant whose gifts and passions
match those listed.
Step 6 Ask the right person to fill each spot.
As the ministry grows, the process is repeated to create teams of 5-10
persons (including spouses) to serve each new “circle" of ministry.
