The COM card module type HCS3.PSN The COM card module type HCS3.PSC provides dual functionality. 1) Generates the internal DC voltage of 5V used as logic voltage. 2) Serial interface according to RS422 standard. The serial interface can be used in two ways: • Serial interface for configuration of the controller with a software called HCS3.Opto to be installed on an external Windows PC connected to the controller via the serial interface (please refer to section 10). This is the method to configure the controller if the card module HCS3.PSN with its Web interface is not available. • Serial remote control interface if a module card HCS3.PSN with Ethernet interface is not available. It allows to integrate the controller in an external network management system. The details of the remote control protocol are published separately. Switch / Drive Card Module HCS3.SWI The HCS3 SWI-Card Module is mainly be used as input/ output device for control and monitoring of Waveguide Switch SW In total there are 4 actor outputs available which could be connected in parallel when higher drive currents required. Com Card Modules HCS2.422 The Com Card Modules for the HCS Controller provide a serial interface of the controller according to RS422 standard. The interface is used for communication with an external NMS and the configuration program. HCS3.CSF Control-Switch with F-Connectors The HCS3 CSF-Card Module used as RF switching device integrated into the HCS3 chassis. The RF switch type SPDT is integrated and controlled by the module which needs one slot positions in the mounting frame. The module can be applied in frequency ranges from DC 1000 to 2200 MHz. All LNBS can be monitored and controlled via WEB-interface. For the controller HCS3 a driver for Visionic has been developed and applied in several projects.
