Data Technology, Inc. Acquired By Gerber Scientific, Inc.
WILMINGTON, MA -- May 25, 2007 - Data Technology, Inc announced the completion of their
acquisition by Gerber Scientific Products, a subsidiary of Gerber Scientific, Inc (NYSE: GRB).
The transaction was finalized on Monday, May 21, 2007. Gerber Scientific, Inc. is a leading
supplier of sophisticated automated manufacturing systems for sign making and specialty
graphics, apparel and flexible materials, and ophthalmic lens processing.
Data Technology will be merged with the Gerber Innovations business unit of Gerber Scientific
Products. The planned integration of the two companies’ operations, networks and customer
facing organizations has already begun to ensure a smooth transition and immediate value for
its customers, suppliers and industry partners. Gerber Innovations offers market leading
systems and solutions for the automated production of flat steel rule dies and coating blankets.
