Care Home
Welcome
to Manor Park Care Home
Manor Park Care Home is a purpose built care home with three
separate units catering for day care, residential, general nursing
and dementia. The dementia unit has received the PEARL Award
for Dementia care.
The Care Home is situated on the outskirts of Hartlepool in the
Owton Manor area and has local shops right on the doorstep.
The home is not far from the coastline and has easy access to
local buses and to the A19.
Manor Park Care Home is maintained to a high standard and
has a lovely patio area for residents and visitors to enjoy.
“Our home has a friendly and homely atmosphere and we have
a great team who work well together to make our residents feel
happy in a safe environment”.
Jean Reaney Manor Park Care Home Manager
First Class Nursing Care
Our person centred approach means
that each resident is an individual treated
with respect and dignity. Each resident
has a named key worker and an
individual care plan. This will cover their
personal and medical history, as well as a
record of particular activities they enjoy
and any cultural or religious aspects of
their care.
Residents, and where appropriate their
families, are involved as far as practical in
the decisions regarding their care.
Emphasis on all aspects of care is the
Manager’s primary concern and, together
with the experienced team of qualified
staff, all adhere to rigorous standards with
internal audits and checks.
At Manor Park, we have an excellent
working relationship with the partners
from the local GP practice. We very
much recognise the importance of
personal, individual and resident focused
care. To achieve this, good communication
between all members of the care team,
be they nurses, carers, relatives or
doctors, is essential.

Facilities
Manor Park is tastefully decorated
throughout and has recently had the
bathrooms refurbished. The home has
several spacious TV lounges, quiet lounges
and very inviting dining rooms. Some of
the bedrooms are en-suite and there is
a lift available to move between floors.
The home has on site hairdressing facilities,
and a range of complementary therapies
can be arranged to suit individual
requirements. At Manor Park Care Home
there is a personal activities leader who will
organise activities chosen by the residents.
The Care Home organises many outings
including regular visits to the local social club.
Our residents also go to the pub which is
part of The Cameron’s Brewery Visitors
Centre as well as trips to the Marina,
local parks and the Hartlepool Art Gallery.
Manor Park Care Home also has many
activities for residents in the home including
baking, gardening and bingo. The local
library brings a selection of books for those
residents who are unable to visit the library.
We have a variety of visiting entertainers and
a monthly exercise class.
The Care Home is divided into three
units of the Blanchland Suite which
was named after the last ship built in
Hartlepool, the Cameron Wing which is
situated on the first floor and is named
after the local brewery. The brewery
kindly donated items for our themed
walls depicting the brewery as it used to
be as well as picture frames with beer
labels and beer mats. We also have a
general unit on the ground and first floor.
