From the M6
Take A50 to Stoke, Uttoxeter and Derby.
Then take A515 to Ashbourne, over first
roundabout and the home is on the right.
From the M1
From M1 South take A50 to Uttoxeter and
Stoke. Take A515 into Ashbourne and follow
directions as above. From M1 North take A38
towards Derby then A52 to Ashbourne as far as
roundabout with A515 where you turn right.

Four Seasons Health Care is one of the largest groups
in the UK predominantly devoted to the care of older
people. Several specialised centres, including some
catering for learning and physical disabilities, also form
part of the group.
The Manager and staff in the individual homes have
the support, advice and guidance from the experienced
Four Seasons team to help them to run their home
efficiently and effectively.

Welcome
to Highfield House Care Home
Highfield House Care Home is a converted Georgian townhouse
providing a high standard of care for general nursing and
personal care.
Highfield House Care Home is situated on the outskirts of the
market town of Ashbourne with all its amenities and easy access
to Buxton and Derby.
The home is maintained to a high standard and has excellent facilities
including a delightful conservatory and attractive courtyard.

First Class Care
Our person centred approach means
that each resident is an individual treated
with respect and dignity. Each resident
has a named key worker and an
individual care plan. This will cover their
personal and medical history, as well as a
record of particular activities they enjoy
and any cultural or religious aspects of
their care.
Residents, and where appropriate their
families, are involved as far as practical in
the decisions regarding their care.
Emphasis on all aspects of care is the
Manager’s primary concern and, together
with the experienced team of qualified
staff, all adhere to rigorous standards
with internal audits and checks.

At Highfield House Care Home we have
an excellent working relationship with
the partners from the local GP practice.
We very much recognise the importance
of personal, individual and resident
focused care. To achieve this, good
communication between all members
of the care team, be they nurses, carers,
relatives or doctors, is essential.

Facilities
Highfield House Care Home is set back
from the road with a driveway up to the
house. The home has tree lined gardens
and an inner courtyard where residents
can sit out in the warmer weather; there
are also seated areas within the grounds.
The home has several spacious lounges
with modern flat screen television and
several quiet sitting rooms.
The accommodation provides residents
with a choice of environments in which
to relax or meet friends and relatives.
Residents are encouraged to personalise
their rooms and can choose their colour
scheme to make it feel more homely.
A number of rooms have en suite
facilities and most rooms have
garden views.

We have an inviting dining room where
our Chef provides nutritionally balanced
menus that are carefully prepared
to ensure the best combination of
nutrition and flavour for our residents.
The residents and families are consulted
on their likes and dislikes and the home
caters for all dietary requirements.
Highfield House Care Home has on
site hairdressing facilities and is visited
regularly by an experienced stylist.
Other complementary therapies can
be tailored to individual needs and the
home is attended frequently by a
qualified chiropodist.
Family and friends are welcome to visit
at any time. We have a personal activities
team who ensures our residents can
enjoy an active social life if they wish
and residents can get involved in
hobbies of their choice and take part
in activities that interest them.
The varied and interesting programme
includes handicrafts, quizzes and
gardening to trips out to local places
of interest.

Types of Stay
Highfield House Care Home provides
care for people who need general nursing
care and residential care. The home has a
team of qualified nurses and well trained
dedicated care assistants that provide a
high standard of 24 hour care.
We fully appreciate the stress associated
with leaving home to live in a new
location, and are happy to accept new
residents for an agreed trial period at
the end of which there would be no
further obligation.
